And Griffin isn't "gimmicky"? He can't even beat out Colt McCoy.

I get you feel sorry for him, but let someone else adopt him from the unwanted QB shelter.

Not so fast....RG3 is gimmicky too.

Both improvise....but between the two, RG3 has more strengths (arm and height for starters).

It's ok that you don't like RG3....Go Johnny!!!!

I would take the colonoscopy. They put you out for that.

Yea but you still have to anticipate it and prepare for it, and then think about it after the fact . . . . . . . .

That might be the last straw for me. Seriously. I've been patiently waiting for 20 plus years for something to happen that I can't tell you about for fear it might scar your children. If that walking we todd becomes a Cowboy that may push me over the edge of ever caring again.

One of the most overrated prospects to ever come out of the NFL draft and a lot of you reading this bought into it. I still remember the QB envy after his rookie year of football for dummies.

Yea, chasing the skins for the division title for 10-15 years :lmao2:

The speculation of Payton to Dallas is tasty.

If others can indulge the fantasy that Garrett is building something here, I should be allowed the fantasy of Payton coming here for Romo's final years.

Payton is done, age has caught up to him

Why? What exactly is the difference?

And I am talking about strictly on the field.

RG3 has a better chance of getting cut, He has more experience in a pros, rookie of the year award wasn't a fluke, stronger arm, Washington is a little less of a disaster when it comes to running a franchise..

but like I said, neither are long term answers but as a number two for next year, I'd take RG3's experience and overall talent over the disaster off the field and a drunk for which you'd get in a Manziel even if he's available.

I'll take RGIII or JF to back up Tony. The reason RGIII has been riding the pine, according to PFT, is because the Skins are on the hook for 16 million next year if he can't pass a physical. They're just getting him healthy so they can cut him and move on.

Oh, if JF beats the Seahawks today, I would imagine he'll be staying in Cleveland.

....we should have a buffet to choose from regarding backups for next year....... bring in Mark Sanchez....Colt McCoy....Mike Glennon....wait.....AJ McCarron after this season....Jimmy Clausen...Matt Moore....Drew Stanton....Derek Anderson....Chase Daniels...Shaun Hill....Christian Ponder...Kellen Clemens.....Matt Schaub....TJ Yates...Luke McCown. We good.

Pair up with a poor student who can't and won't learn how to be an NFL quarterback with a coach and staff that can't and won't teach players how to play quarterback. Sure, why not? I mean what could go wrong?

I would take Manziel over Griffen by a mile

You and me both! One guy has sat because he's made some bad decisions off the field, the other has seen his career shut down for mistakes on the field.

I'll take the guy that looks like he's getter better over the guy who looks like he's getting worse.

Not saying I want him, but Manziel has looked like a viable NFL QB his last couple starts. He looks like a QB that can actually read an NFL defense.

Griffin will never be able to read an NFL defense

And yet we hear all the board GM's saying its Jerry's fault for not getting a better backup QB . . . . . . . . . . .

Ive kinda wondered where he would get one . . . . .

To me the term "derp" should follow any "RG3>>>Manziel " statement

One of the many issues of Bob3 is that he was not well liked by his team mates. Also I dont think the current coaching staff would is the most qualified to make lemonaide out of a lemon.

It's like a visit to Golden Coral or Sam's Tire Mart (retreads).

I find it interesting they are saying Payton may be interested in him. I am not sure if that is just speculation or if it comes from a credible source. Given that Payton found Romo and was probably one his biggest influences as he developed behind the scenes and how he made Brees a superstar, I respect his opinion on QB's. I sincerely hope if Payton does become available that Jerry doesn't make the same mistake twice and not at least try to hire him.

I doubt that he is done but at least he has accomplished something. I think your thinking is clouded by the poor state of the Saints roster. Our roster is much better. He has proven he can win a Superbowl with a good roster. What has Garrett ever proved other than he is mediocre.
