that was 90 the rams game. That is the game where the night before Troy Aikman was going to go to Jimmy's room and demand a trade but Laufenberg calmed aikman down and talked him through it. The next day he had a great game and the team made a push for the playoffs until the final two games when aikman was out.

I just watched that rams game not to long ago.

I will add some highlights from the game today to my YT page.

You're correct - that's my bad. It was a real turning point game for the franchise and is far overlooked.

Aikman started the game with an interception! 13th game in a row he was picked. Then they played well.

A game I have always loved and Troy Aikman said it was his favorite game of his career was the week 3 home game vs the giants in 1991. Jeff Hostetler threw for over 400 yards and was driving to win the game when Issac holt who had been awful all day picked him off in the endzone. Very similar to Mo Claiborne vs the rams in '14.

Irvin caught what was the winning touchdown pass by overpowering Mark Collins and going into the end zone. That was a terrific game, especially coming off of a tough loss to the Commanders on MNF the previous week.

Yep.

A game I would like to see but never have is the week before that rams game in 1990. Dallas played San Francisco. They ended up with 14 total yards in the second half. Never seen it.

That was a Sunday night game. The defense actually played relatively well in spite of the offense doing nothing. Rice made a really acrobatic catch in the end zone for a touchdown in the first half. What I remember most was a play when Aikman threw a swing pass to Emmitt Smith, and Smith got blown up by, IIRC, Romanowski, and Smith stayed down for a while.

I would love to see the game against the Giants that Emmitt separated his shoulder

I would also like to see the 1972 NFC Divisional Playoff game where the Cowboys beat the 49ers 30-28 on the first great comeback authored by Roger Staubach.

Harder to find whole games though, they get shut down every day. You will see even more when this kicks off.

I still can never understand why the NFL refuses to broadcast more games from history.

I wonder if their demographic research points out that young fans don't care and have limited attention spans.

Judging by the results for all teams, it is probably true.

Because they are not getting paid. NFL policy seems pretty simple: pay us or no access.

I love the fact that these guys honor us by choosing so many cowboy losses. That makes such a large statement.

The game where the 1985 Bears tore up the Cowboys 44-0 must have been interesting.

That Cowboys team ended up going 10-6 and winning the division.

Games like that are the main reason why that 1985 Bears team is always one of the top 2-3 teams discussed as the best single team in the modern era of football.

That was when Landry could still fake it. That team was not that talented.

First play from scrimmage for the Cowboys, Dorsett goes off left tackle for 22 yards.

He gained 22 yards the rest of the game.

Both Hogeboom and White got knocked out of the game with concussions - White actually had to come back into the game again after Hogeboom got knocked out.

Total butt kicking on every level.

One thing about that Cowboy team - they suffered a number of blowout losses that season - 44-0 to the Bears, 50-24 to an 8-8 Bengal team, 31-16 to the Niners, 20-0 to a Ram team that had Eric Dickerson running for 248 yards, and Dieter Brock throwing for 50 yards.

That season may have been the best coaching job of Landry's career - that team had no business winning the NFC East that year.

they are but honestly the giants in the playoffs that year matched them play for play except the sean landetta fumble on the punt.

that dallas season was odd, dallas beat that giants team in week 15 then two weeks later ny smashed sf and dallas was eliminated.

Would like to catch that... I've never seen it on there

They did it about three or four months ago. Madden and Summerall. Just goodness.

You have to pay attention to NFLN. Every now and again, they run out of insipid Top 10 lists and broadcast a game, but usually it is in the middle of the night or something.
