Parcells cut Ross, said he was basically a knucklehead and just wanted to freelance. A million dollar body and ten cent head.

Bryant was solid, I think the issues with him were immaturity and the level of expectation that comes from being the next number 88.

Best thing about this thread was Skid Row and Joe Satriani

Following the 2002 season, our rookies at the time:

DO NOT TURN UP THE VOLUME, THE MUSIC STARTS ABRUPTLY AS HE CATCHES THE BALL.

I really thought Derek Ross was going to be an outstanding CB... Antonio Bryant was going to be another Michael Irvin... Roy Williams looked like he'd redefine the safety position, he was Woody 2.0.

Within 2 years I'm not sure who was even in the league anymore, and anyone who was looked like a shell of the player I was expecting.

I really suck at evaluating players.

And sorry for the terrible quality, all caps came from VHS tapes that Rack sent me. There wasn't even anyplace to upload it then, youtube didn't come along for 3 more years.

For the first couple of years it seemed like Bryant might be something at WR. The guy just seemed like he could really make plays for us.

And Roy Williams really did seem like he was on his way to being an all time great for us after his first two or three seasons. He was just so fun to watch.

Carter, on the other hand, I never had any faith in that guy being the man. If I recall correctly I was just pissed off that we took him for two reasons.

1) We took a QB who if he'd returned to college, if I remember right, wasn't even going to start his final year in college.

2) We took him only because Jerry thought he was going to grab the next McNabb. I hated McNabb.

My favorite part was the footage of Campo calling the team in, doling out the usual pep-talk, then telling everyone, "Cowboys on 3,,, ready? One-Two--- Cowboys!!!!"

And? Do you want a cookie?

Tons of people knew they were bad then. Pretty much everyone did who wasn't just hoping that they wouldn't be terrible.

Sorry about this RS. I realize this sounded way worse than I intended for it too.

I was just meaning to point out that knowing that team was going to be terrible wasn't any harder then walking into a mentally challenged facility and pointing out the people who were mentally handicapped.

But I apologize either way for it coming off sounding as terrible as I now think it sounds.

Man, that was a tough era. Probably the worst in their history...rivaling the late 80's.

Cowboys practicing on "field turf" for the first time ever.

Jamar Martin lead iso torn acl. That was ugly.

Wow. Troy Hambrick. Is he available for a workout?

Ok. I'm done with the play by play. Lol
