NFL Network replays the Cowboys vs. Lions game from last year at 1:30 and 7:30 central time today.

"Dallas Cowboys vs. Detroit Lions (12/9/07) - Trailing 27-14 at the start of the fourth quarter, Tony Romo leads Dallas over Detroit en route to the NFC East title."

Isn't it wonderful to go into the 4th quarter down 7 ( PARCELLS-LESS) knowing Romo can get you the job done instead of running, running, running the clock down and never scoring................:banghead:

I've watched that game about 4 times and if you want to pin that L on anyone it has to be Patrick Crayton or Jaq Reeves.

This game was the beginning of the end IMO.

The Cowboys were beyond lucky to win this game and never played another decent game the rest of the year including the playoffs.

I remember all the homers telling me Dallas was ok and making fun of "the sky is falling" crowd.

inbetween the finger tips of Patrick Crayton.

please...that was one play and it wasnt even on the last two drives...the defense got us the ball back twice with a chance to win, and we did nothing

Crayton stunk that day, but he certainly isnt the only reason we lost...you could blame any number of players (including the QB), hence the term "team loss"

yeah I remember that too...also remember similar responses after the next few mediocre games

hopefully this yr the team will get on a roll in December instead of limping into the playoffs with no intensity or desire

"lackluster" would be a very accurate description of this team the past two Decembers, and it led to piss-poor losses in the playoffs to teams we should have beaten

:hammer: Exactly.

Most were just too blind to realize it at the time.

Oh please. This game was not the beginning of the end or anything like that.

When Romo and TO got hurt the next two weeks, well, that is what hurt us the most come playoff time.

Nothing to do with "blind homerism" at all.

Do people honestly think that if we had a healthy TO and Romo we would have struggled as much at the end of the season?

I watched the replay on NFLN. Awesome comeback. Never mind we should've blown them away. I was disappointed in the defensive effort, but seeing that winning drive engineered by Romo and Witten reminded me of what this team can do when it's hungry. I hope the hunger lasts from September to February this season.

Dallas was very lucky to win the Detroit game.

You can blame 6 points versus the eagles on Romo's injury if you want to, but I recall the offense stinking it up before his injury.

TO got injured against the Panthers...true. And Dallas scored seven more points than the Panthers who were on their 4th QB of the year and one who has barely played I might add. Dallas is not the only team with injuries.

Dallas had nothing to play for in the Washington game, I will give them that, but I don't think any Cowboys actually showed up to even play.

Dallas was healthy enough to beat a Giant team at home and it was lackluster at best.

You can make excuses if you want, be my guest. Dallas stunk up the joint from Detroit all the way to their living room couches.

This is all so very true, but I still think Romo's thumb was a factor and TO was not himself in that playoff game. Bottom line, they had their chances and blew it. The Detroit comeback was the last hurrah. I remember watching the team busses leaving Ford Field and a bunch of fans were going crazy in the freezing rain. Ironically, I was thinking to myself - the Dallas Cowboys are 12-1, how far will they go?

Everybody conveniently forgets the route that Crayton admittedly slowed down on, on third down that would have been a TD. He said he didnt think he was getting the ball, BS.

Like anyone forgets that.....

No what people conveniently forget are the multiple passes that Romo let get away from him that would have resulted in first downs and TDs.
