Yeah that was pretty bad. They went down a list of controversies that the Raiders were involved in. The superbowl with Pitt. The AFC championship against the Pats. The legal battles between them and the league.

And the footage for the Dallas-skins was only the tip of the iceberg. They just focused on George Allen and his hatred of the Cowboys. They didn't even cover the beginnings as it pertained to the origins of the Cowboys.

This was a bad episode all the way around.

I can remember the "intensity" of the George Allen vs. Dallas days, and the networks loved it, too because of the rivalry, and how it reflected in the numbers of the viewing audience for the games. Here's a another rivalry, albeit not as long or as intense as the Allen vs. Dallas, but how about the Buddy Ryan vs. Dallas as well, eh.

I agree. Guys like Allen were great for the rivalry that started, he would get his teams worked up into frenzy before the Cowboy games and made for some exciting games between the 2 team my grandfather called Allen (Lick) because of how Allen would constantly be licking his finger tips :laugh2: . I also agree with the Philly and Buddy Ryan a true dislike developed between the 2 franchises.

I'm not sure how Buddy Ryan vs. Dallas didn't make the list.

Anybody remember Jimmy's comment after the Bounty Bowl: "I wanted to talk to him about this, but he trotted his big, fat butt off the field."

That was actually shown in the footage. Buddy's response was funny, too. Something about how he resented that comment, since he thought he'd been losing weight.

What they did with Buddy Ryan was show footage of all the people who had beefs with him (Jimmy, Kevin Gilbride, some others), but that the one he had with Ditka was the worst. Because despite their feuding, they won a SB together.
