One of the ladies that works for me has a husband in the construction business. His company is doing some of the subcontracting on the new stadium. Knowing that I am a huge Cowboys fan, she asked him to get something for me from the new stadium. Well, this morning she brought it to me. A mason jar filled with dirt from the 50 yard line. :D I know it isn't much, but it's pretty cool all the same. I'll try to post a pic of it tonight.

Awesome!

When I first drove by, after they broke ground, I wanted to do the same thing. All my friends and family thought it was stupid, so I didn't do it.

The guy was probably being nagged to death by his wife, so he just scooped up some dirt from around the port-o-potty, just to appease her.

Just Kidding,

I'm just jealous.

:laugh2: I wondered why it smelled like that! He told me he got it from around the marker they use to show where mid-field is located. So, if it s from the 49 1/2, or even the 48, I'm ok with that!! :D

Even if it is from his backyard, the dump, or even from his kitty litter box, it was still a cool gesture. :) I don't believe he would lie, but I have no proof other than the label he put on the jar. I guess in 30-40 years when another new stadium is going up, I can have my grandkids get a soil sample and do a chemical analysis. But, heck, most of you guys wouldn't be around anyway! :D :laugh2:

They would think it's stupid until you put it on ebay, and it sold for several thousand dollars. :laugh2:

LOL! You tell'em. If my Grandkids want to do that, it's up to them. I am going to display it with my other Cowboys memorabilia. I'm 41, so I am way passed giving a flip whether someone else thinks it is stupid or not! :D

My problem was I was to chicken to run out there and grab it myself. (In case I got In trouble.)

Now if I had someone with me, I could push them to the lions and run the other way.:D

That ebay thing does sound like a good business venture, though. I would buy one, .... maybe not for that much.
