I don't know if it will have anything to do with the rest of the season. I predicted a record before the season and I have seen nothing to really change my mind on it.

But I will say this about yesterday's victory.

It was nice to see the Cowboys dominate a lower team like that. It was a ripe game for a trap game in many aspects with a team like the Niners having nothing to lose.

But I would like to also think of the past years where we would play DOWN to the competition.

I would imagine there were many Cowboys fans who thought we would beat the 49ers but at the same time thought it would be a close game. Why? Because we have been so bipolar this season.

However the other reason is that the Cowboys at times has played DOWN to the competition. By that I mean they can play a better than average game against a team that is better (in the past years we shocked people by beating P.Manning when they were undefeated and we were so so).

There have also been many times when we have played against a team that has no business even being in the same ball park as us only to see them keep a close game all the way through, sometimes pulling out a win when they should not.

Yesterday was not a situation where we played down to the competition...yesterday we played a team we should crush and we crushed them.

Again...does not mean anything going forward. But it was nice to see.

The defense, with Irvin, Hitchens, Lee was definitely an upgrade.

It definitely was. They were in control of that game from that first special teams fumble.

The frustrating part is that it can't have a smuch value as any of us would like considering it was against a winless team starting a rookie quarterback for the first time. It cheapens victory a bit.

For me, I think the best attitude I can have is to enjoy a dominant win but keep it in perspective. Hopefully, it's not a one-week blip on the radar against a bad team, but a sign that this team is getting back to performing as well as they're capable.

Not the Cowboys fault they had a winless team on their schedule. A win is a win and I'm going to enjoy it this week. Forget the naysayers! It was still an NFL game.

There were past seaons where we would play a bad team starting a back up and the team would make him look like a pro bowler. Though I do believe Beathard was in over his head.

It was nice from the perspective that this was a team that gave the Commanders all they could handle.

There was this season. See Trevor Simien, a guy about to be benched. He looked like Elway against this team's defense.

True but with the injuries to the secondary then injuries in game to the secondary where we had safeties playing CB that was to be expected.

No, sorry, it wasn't.

The Cowboys were totally outclassed in that game, and "injuries" are no excuse.

The offense that put up 35 points on us was shut out yesterday, and **** down the week before. Against Dallas, they were unstoppable and now they're looking at benching their starting quarterback. The same guys who shredded this defense and looked like a Pro Bowler doing it.

First game that came to mind was our game vs Cleveland a few years back when we let Weeden torch us. Also the Matt Flynn game as well. It was good to see them perform to their potential and not try to make something that should be simple, complicated.

Not the same team who lost one of its main offensive weapons in Sanders. Sorry but when you have the likes of Heath, Frazier, and Woods covering wideouts and a crappy gameplan you get your but handed to you.

Nice try, but those weren't the defense's only weak spots. Those were everywhere. The entire defense was awful that day, and trying to pick on a few young guys for that team loss doesn't cut it.

The fact is that several other defenses have been able to make Simien look bad, and he is. But the Cowboys defense made him look all world.

Yes the game plan against him and the game plan on offense sucked but the defensive back 7 was bad which made running easier for Denver. I agree Semian is avg at best the overall strategy going into the game sucked and was exasperated by the injuries in the secondary.
