Eagles quarterback Nick Foles says he was caught off guard by DeSean Jackson’s sudden release last month
and described his relationship with his former teammate as “great.”

“He was a great teammate to me," Foles told CSNPhilly’s Derrick Gunn, who asked the quarterback if, to his knowledge, Jackson was ever a “disruptive factor” for the Eagles.

“We had a great relationship on and off the field,” Foles added. “Everybody has other things going on, but to me personally, I really enjoyed playing with him and I'm excited that he landed on his feet. He's a heck of a player.”

In his first public comments on the matter, Foles also said he was surprised by the Eagles’ decision to release the 27-year-old wide receiver, who posted career highs in catches and receiving yards last season en route to a third Pro Bowl bid.

Great talent who may not ever be as good as he could be cause he seems to be a very selfish type of player. He definately has some serious talent though and is a threat to take the ball to the house at all times.

This really pokes a hole
He also didn't endear himself to his teamates with the way he played the game, always running out of bounds as soon as a defender came close to him.

Quotes/links/proof?

Nick foles seems to disagree. As did Shady McCoy

It’s a surprise for sure,” running back LeSean McCoy said Saturday, via Sheil Kapadia of PhillyMag.com. “I think anybody that tells you that they’re happy about it, I don’t know how honest that would be."

Again, any proof he didn't "endear himself to teammates" I am not sure how film will show that Philly players were unhappy with a 1300 yard, 10 TD WR

If you can't make the correlation, it's futile for me to help you. He'll give you some great plays. Enjoy his shtick. It's so Commander like.

Your posts are devoid of facts and filled with assumptions and opinions, which is why I continually discount what you have to say

My opinions about RGIII were spot on last year. 100% correct.

Key word being opinion, which isn't really helping you in this thread either. I'd just go eat lunch at this point if I were in your shoes :)

I have posted articles from 2 key players on the Eagles roster which contradict what you have to say. Now go find me something from an Eagles player that matches what your opinion, and we might be able to finally have an adult discussion

Pfft.

That doesn't matter; Foles and McCoy are clearly lying (for what reason, I have no clue, they're basically showing up their coach and organization. But, yeah, they're probably making it up.)

These are the same posters that still compare Griffin to Vick; they clearly know better. There is no chance a quarterback going into his third season, especially one that works as hard as Griffin does, is going to get better. He's as bad a cancer as Desean Jackson--his teammates clearly hate him (they even elected him for the Ed Block Courage award...what a show of spite!)

We should listen to their wild speculation based on the fear that Griffin is healthy and he has a deep threat like Desean Jackson!!

Who knows they might be right--but no matter how many games like this (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/201211220dal.htm) he has, there will still be goons here chirping that he's a one-read QB who won't last in the league. It's pretty pointless to argue with them, it's a lot more fun to laugh at them.

If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be embarrassed by their antics.

So far, at least, those chirping this are correct. If he keeps playing like he did last year, he won't last long. And you goons are the ones that came here last year saying how he's fully healthy and just like new and he was going to dominate again.

just being as Commanders fan should be embarrassment enough

Well, yeah, we had a terrible year. But, I like my team, and support my team through thick and thin--and I am capable of discussing them in a rational manner--I don't need to resort to celebrating injury and making completely ridiculous and ignorant statements. If that's an embarrassment, so be it...

We shall see. Like I said--a player finishing his 2nd year--especially one as hard working as Griffin is stands a great chance to improve. But you can make up as much as you want. He is still 1 year removed from winning the NFC East with one of the best rookie years in league history. He wasn't terrible last year either (cue the "garbage time" stats retort in 3...2...1...), just not nearly as good as he was in 2012. So, again, we shall see. Anyone saying he isn't immensely talented, intelligent, and hard working really, well, it takes all kinds I guess...

But then again, I could be wrong. We all say things that are questionable...

I predicted a Super Bowl berth before the season even started.
