This is footage of the game winning FG that Folk hit against BYU in September. This game is what prompted me to really notice him.

The clock is in the upper left. Bad audio and not a great picture, but you get the idea.

This is a 48 yard FG with 4 seconds left on the clock and you can see how high it clears the cross bar.

He put 3 of 5 kickoffs beyond the endzone and punted 3 times for a 60 yard average in this game besides this game winner.

Forget all of the above...Todd McShay has revealed that in fact he does NOT have a strong leg.

Wowza.

Looks like it would have been good from 58.

Folk connected on 15-of-20 of his field-goal attempts as a senior and amassed 31 touchbacks. He could be used as a kickoff specialist. (Rotoworld)

It would look like he needs to get with a good coach and gain some accuracy,

From the side view looking at him on the left and the flight of the ball going right, that football was just above the top of the goalposts. The crossbar is 10 feet off the ground. I have no idea how high the posts actually go but I would guess at least 15 to 18 feet above the crossbar.

If this means that we will no longer have to see opposing teams KRs continually come up to field balls at the 5-10 yard line, then the pick will have been well worth it.

My heart likes them a little more down the middle--but it was good!

I believe he said he had a couple blocked that were blown up in the backfield. He also made his last nine attempts.

that looks like 55-60 yard potential.

i like that.

and that's apparently in Arizona, so warmer weather and sea level.

Mason Crosby was severely overrated by kicker standards. I believe both Folk and Medlock from UCLA are better prospects.

For what its worth, ourlads said he kicks the ball in the end zone so much because he kicks line drives, he kicks a low ball and almost never has a hangtime over 4.0 seconds, which is not good.

So it will be wait and see. Hopefully he will be our gostowski.

...I had to spec out some quotes for a set of goal posts for our town and what I ran into was the standard specification for goal posts was typically 4" or 5" O.D. pipe with the uprights 20' above the crossbar as the NCAA spec.

Most of the companies I talked to said this was a spec they had to conform to so I would expect that the top of the uprights are in that 20' range.
