I might be alone here but Ford, I think he's strictly an OLB. I don't think he's a DE. Perfect fit for a 34, a waste of talent in a 43, to some extent, IMO.

And I dont see that much difference in Barr and Ford. Both look to me like OLB in a 3-4 that will be situational rushers not every down players as DE's in a 4-3. Can they be useful still? Sure but DE is not the best fit for either really IMO anyway. I would prefer Barr over Ford I just dont think he is the ideal fit for a 4-3 really though.

Not me. Barr definitely can play with his hand in the dirt and on the line. I don't see that with Ford. He excels in space and is much better when he can run to the ball. JMO

The vast majority of defensive players people are touting in this scenario seem like reaches to me. I'd probably go best OL and I think Beckham will be a stud.

TE Eric Ebron could be a Franchise Type TE but for Dallas the athletic LB Mosley fits...the DE Ealy or DT Jernigan as well.

I said Mosley if they were to use him correctly and move Lee outside...the same thing applies to Ebron for me...if I thought for a nano-second that they knew how to use a TE not named Witten, then I would be all over that pick...there would be no need to talk about WR in this draft any longer

I am not taking a CB in the first round. Just not happening this year.

Pryor is already gone in my scenario.
Don't want to take Mosley in the first because has had multiple injuries
Not seeing Nix as a guy they would take in the first.

Who they might consider...

Ealy, although that really does not float my boat at 16

I like Jernigan but I don't know if they like him in the first without trading down.

They might reach for Lawrence, Attachou (sp?), Ford.

Maybe they Like Tuitt more than I do.

Shocker could be a WR like Odell or Marquise.

Put Jerry up for adoption!!

I worry about Mosley due to the reports that he has injury concerns with his leg and shoulder (IIRC). We already have injury issues with Lee. Now for those that say...but Mosley did not miss games...Newman and Ware did not miss many games but when they played injured it hurt the team.

I agree on Mosely and if healthy, and IF the team decides to move Lee over, then the LB's will be the strength of the defense...

Barr is not that small for a Weak Side 4-3 DE. Cliff Avril 6-3, 260. Chris Clemons 6-3, 254. Robert Mathis, Dwight Freeney, Elvis Dumerville, etc. are in the 260ish range or smaller and all are shorter.

If you feel the team needs a WR with deep speed and explosion, you should take a look at Brandon Cooks.

He really, really impresses me. I think he's going to be very good. I'm not saying we should take him at 16... or even at all in round 1, but good grief that guy is amazingly athletic.

He reminds me of a more athletic, sane Chad Ochocinco.

I laughed today when I saw the DC.com article saying the Cowboys are considering Cooks at 16, it made me think of this post. Time for you to take some victory laps!
