One-year deal between 49ers and CB Nnamdi Asomugha is worth up to $3 million.

Watch him have a great year next year.. Niners aren't messing around this off-season.

CB Nnamdi Asomugha is signing a 1-yr deal with 49ers worth $1.35 million in base salary, but get this: He didn't want ANY guaranteed money.

Interesting. ala Ricky Williams' rookie contract. Guess he wants to earn it after his poor stint in Philly. Good for him.

Bargain deal - 49ers remind me of the Patriots in their acquisitions and deal making.

Wow. That's a very low risk, high reward type of contract.

If he sucks, cut without anything to worry about. If he some how flips it around you have a very good player for a criminal price.

If he returns to Oakland-form, 49ers are definately the favorites to win the SB

Great move by 49ers

How do we have the greatest salesman in the world for owner/GM, but we can never swing these type of deals without overpaying, or trading the farm?

I've never gotten that about Jerry.

From almost $11 million a year to $3 million a year. Talk about a pay cut

Eagles are still paying him 4 mil next year, so he's going from 11 to 7.

dont get to excited, some people are still thinking only teams from the playoffs are winning the SB. They quickly forget the Giants won at 7-9 and some teams go from flub to stud in one year.

Im not overly excited about SF.

Nnamdi is at the point he wants to play for a SB contender. I get every year is different, but on paper the 49ers are better and closer to that trophy than the Cowboys.

It could be that. It can also be that he wants to prove that he can be a great corner.

Also, I believe a lot of his family still lives in Los Angeles (last I checked a few years ago). Maybe he was a little homesick.

That's the benefit of having a real GM.

Meanwhile, how much are we paying Oscan this year?

Nnamdi is probably as good as Carr and we are paying him $10M this year and for 4 more years. This is why we can't win and this is why the 49ers have been active deep into the playoffs the last 2 years and one play away from a SB win.

Oh, bull. Nnamdi is coming off two lackluster years. If he had played at a high level the last two seasons he would be commanding over $10M per season or probably wouldn't have been cut. There is plenty of real reasons to be critical of Jerry Jones, but this one is a stretch.

I think its more likely that its the best contract he was offered. He isn't exactly a hot commodity at this point.
