Way too many SBs are not close. They still get watched. Even AZ will be a draw.

I agree but I think the Cards showing improvement and willingness to run the ball has been a big help to the Cards. If the Cards can get some positives out of their running game then it will help take some of that pressure off of him.

We have seen Warner play flat out awful... just taking snaps from under center was a problem. He has not particular area where he likes to fumble the ball. Under center, pulling away from center, Romo style etc.... etc...

I suspect they will get to Warner more than Carolina did. That's the key to the game. If Warner gets time he'll pick them apart tho I believe the DBs are better for Philly than Carolina.

Yeah Philly has two advantages.
You mention both:
  1. Better/more pressure
  2. Better DB's

just don't feel it this season....

no real story lines..

I live in Pittsburgh and it wasn't like the steeler had a game sunday...

something is missing this season...

Maybe no Brady ?

NO Pats?

NO cowboys?

No real dominate team?
with out question this is the most watered down weakest season in memory.

anyone else from around the county feel the same?

Arizona is the story. Who was picking them at the beginning of the season. Maybe a few to possibly win the division because the other teams stunk also. But to be in this position, no one picked them. And if they win and go to the SB. That's the BUZZ. And which gives all teams hopes of getting there next year. Anything can happen. Don't be surprised if it's the Bengals and Cowboys next year.

I agree and we have seen Warner play to a high level as well. He is very capable of going out this weekend and putting up a big day on Philly.

Very true.

But I have come not to trust QB's like Warner and McNabb when "It's On". I dont see either putting together enough good games to see this through.

We wont know until we know ;)

Get a grip.

The points being made are valid. Wait for the ratings for this year's Super Bowl. They will be awful. And I guarantee it won't be just narcissistic Cowboy fans responsible.

And if you're not railing against the argument that "there is no buzz", which is almost certainly going to prove unequivocally correct, are you then railing against Cowboys fans who have less interest in the playoffs because the Cowboys aren't in them? Really? You're really going to get on people who are less interested in something when they have less of a vested interest in it?

So...in other words, you fail to see how anyone else could think like anything but yourself...and then you have the nerve to call THEM narcissistic.

Seriously, you've made my day over here. Thanks for that.
Other than that Mrs Lincoln how did you like the play? If I have to tell you it is sarcasm it looses it panache.

Thats the thing. The Eagles will focus on Warner BIG TIME.
They know that they can get him to put the ball on the ground 4-5 if they pressure hard enough.

They can.
They will.

Closet Eagles fan?

I knew it.

NFL overall sucks now.

Sometimes I wonder if I even like the game anymore or its just a habit of something I used to watch and follow since I was a little kid.

My son had a travel hockey weekend and I missed all 4 games and I didn't even care. I didn't even miss that I missed them.

The league is so watered down now and with all the girlie rule changes it just isn't the same.

Pitt beat a 8-8 team in the 2nd round of a playoff ! Who bloody cares? That is supposed to be good football?

Tenn. the best record in the NFL scores 11 pts! Yeah!!!!!!!!

9-7 team has home NFC Championship game against a 6 seed wildcard team!! Sign me up I cant wait to watch!! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully I can bring myself to watch the Super Bowl this year at least for the commercials. I sure as heck wont be watching this crap on Sunday.

I can't believe people are going to just continue on and on with how these playoffs suck just because the records of the teams involved are close to .500.

Who really cares what the records are? They earned the right to play in the playoffs. Any team still playing is deserving of being there.

And in case people haven't noticed, the games haven't been all that bad.

HA!

I have already posted and many have seen it already.
IF the Eagles win the SB I wont post here for the entire 2009 season.

So I really dont believe they have a chance IF they get past the Cards.
The more things change... the more they stay the same.

More bitterness from folks that can't get past the fact that our team didn't make the Playoffs.

The 2008 Playoffs have been excellent and there have been some great games already.

To quote Keith Jackson, The Baltimore vs Pittsburgh is going to be a dandy. Its going to be cold, maybe some snow and you have too pretty physical football teams that can't stand each other based on what happened in their previous meeting.

I think the Philadelphia and Arizona game is going to be very good as well.
I completely agree. Maybe I just like football too much.

Whatever makes you sleep better at night night.

And I doubt you'll stay off the boards for the entire 2009 season.
