Yeah the NFL hates the Cowboys, that's why they talk about them endlessly and put them on prime time games as much as possible, even when they're 8-8 every year..

th

Yes of course, they put them on for money and ratings - that's common sense. But you totally missed what the reference is.

The peripheral jabs are real as I've pointed out several times because I work in the business and I know how editing works. Skip Bayless confirmed it earlier this year during a highlight package on First Take when they introduced a segment with all Romo INT's over his career. One of the few admissions I've ever heard. The producers decide on what the intro's and outs are in their packages and put it on the air.

I also mentioned it in the game thread yesterday. The only screen shot of the Cowboys was the newspaper headline of the Steelers beating the Cowboys.

That is absolutely NBC and producer Fred Guadelli at their finest. They take shots all the time and know EXACTLY what their doing and I've tried to point out that if you know what to look for and pay attentions it jumps out at you. I know some guys who work at the Golf Channel and they laugh about it all the time, how packages are skewed on the Cowboys. I'm actually really heartened that posters are starting to see it.

Reality television is built around how to edit personalities. It's also why directors fight for final cut in the edit room. The edit tells the story.

Ultimately you're right - it doesn't mean anything other than it's on purpose. If you don't think so your naive..

And of course they showed the Joe Namath prediction. Joe Namath is the most over rated player to ever play in the NFL. He got into the HOF on one game. He is the Lynn Swann of Quarterbacks.....

He also was the major reason behind the merger of the AFL and the NFL, which altered NFL history in a way few other decisions have.

I agree with you about how things are edited. However, where I don't agree with you is on motivation. Do you know if these guys hate the Cowboys? As a former member of the media, I too understand how bias works into coverage. But I generally have an insider's eye view, i.e., I've heard a reporter say something negative about a particular issue in private and then see how it has filtered into his coverage of an event.
Absent that detail, I can't say that those editing a piece are being bias against the Cowboys.
Having said that, I really didn't see the piece so I can't really comment.

I sure do.

It's usually "The Catch" or now OBJ's on

Skip Bayless, that's your reference, the biggest clown on tv, the guy who insinuated Troy Aikman was GAY in a book,... I think the Naive one is you..the constant daily whining from certain Cowboy fans about how the Cowboys are being slighted is becoming really tiresome..... Michael Irvin being the biggest lapdog for this franchise, I have to turn the NFLN off, it's tiresome listening to him with his constant tunnel vision and nonsense speak that comes out of him on a daily basis... how many former players and coaches of the Cowboys have prime jobs and tell me how many former players from other teams have those prime jobs if it was all about slighting the Cowboys....are you sure those friends at the golf channel aren't laughing at you.. grab some tissues..

The postgame coverage of Cowboys-Giants this season was some of the most ridiculous TV I've ever witnessed.

The Odell Beckham catch was their story. Not the playoff-bound Cowboys leading the gritty comeback on the road as Tony Romo and Dez Bryant played the hero. Nah, that doesn't fit the Romo/Cowboys narrative they've established.

No, their story was a remarkable and ultimately meaningless catch by a member of the losing team, an awful team that was already eliminated from playoff contention.

East Coast Bias at its very finest.

The Cowboys have a massive fan base. I think that's really all that matters as opposed to them being spotlighted on a sports special.

Ok I didn't see a picture, screen shot, or nary a reference when all the " great teams" were mentioned. I saw 9ers, steelers, pack, and pats....I get the nfl hates the cowboys but give this organization the respect it deserves. Even the commercial with everyone yelling for their team and no boys support. Everyone knows Dallas should have been playing last night and maybe the nfl didn't want to upset the fan base anymore. I don't get the bias but it is pretty blatant. Pathetic!

I could've sworn I saw the blue star on the "everyone yells for their team" commercial..???

Maybe was hard to tell but still nothing for the other. Either way I didn't see it and if it was there it was quick.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but in the Nissan commercial with the dad and his son with "Cats in the Cradle" playing, in the kid's room is what appears to be a "Cowboys" emblem except I can only see the "Cow" as the "boys" appears to be covered over.

Did anyone else notice this? I'll have to watch closely the next time the ad runs.

lol, talk about a bunch of butt hurt Cowboys fans that don't understand how long it's been since their team was relevant, it's just sad to read this thread. The Cowboys are on the verge of doing something great but until then, that's not greatness.

No one is as you say butt hurt just pointing out an obvious bias...

I sure do.

I do also. Even if it's a regular seaosn game. Like that is the only highlight they have.
