Not good. I hope JJ has some kind of a plan. This is looking bad to me.

Agreed. It's starting to look like JJ is trying to get "cute" again. Bad things happen when he gets "cute". Anyone remember us trading up to get a 2nd rounder, only to burn it on a worthless QB with the initials QC? Hmmm??? LOL.

If we lose both Davis and Columbo, we are screwed.

Davis leaving without a contract was a major loss, you know "little Napoleon" is going to give him whatever he wants.

It is going to suck going in to the draft needing to replace the entire right side of the O-line. We better start praying Justin Blaylock falls to # 22.

Without knowing the details of the negotiations it's really hard to say with any credibility that Jerry is getting "cute." If it's true that Davis wants 23 mil in guaranteed money, I'm GLAD he left Dallas without a contract.

Fat man Davis isnt worth the contract he is asking for, I don't care how badly we need him.

As for Blaylock, #22 is a bit high for him. The big knock on him is that he has serious trouble moving and blocking in space.

Maybe McQustion (sp?) and Procter are ready to go?

We do not KNOW how much Davis wants- nothing but rumors. We also do not KNOW what JJ offered. Same with Columbo.

Well, neither has signed a contract with Dallas. Someone will pay them.

Maybe as an OT, but as an OG, he should be very good.

Vela is reporting that Davis will decide tonight between Dallas and Washington.

Perhaps, I'd just like a bigger impact player at 22

So would I.

I was hoping for a CB or a pass rusher.

But I guess that's what happens if you have massive holes in your OL .... you automatically start reaching.

Vela just lifted that off an interview with Davis out of Washington. Someone transcribed it on another Davis thread if your interested.

I'm not excited about either guy, but whiffing on both of them would be a tad unsettling.

I do. It went like this and not how you make it sound........

Dallas Cowboys traded their second-round (No. 52) to Miami for the Dolphins second- (No. 56) and fourth-round (No. 122) selections. Miami selected Chris Chambers, wr, Wisconsin. Dallas selected Tony Dixon, db, Alabama and Markus Steele, lb, Southern California.

New Orleans Saints traded their second-round (No. 53) to Dallas for the Cowboys third-round (No. 70 and No. 81) selections. Dallas selected Quincy Carter, qb, Georgia. New Orleans selected Sedrick Hodge, lb, North Carolina and Kenny Smith, dt, Alabama.

If we had not made the deal with Miami we would have taken QC at 52. While you are correct, one trade was made to make the deal you refer possible.

A bad trade for a BAD player with no talent or character. A waste of a draft pick. Awful.

I wish BP had had the ability to draft decent offensive linemen, We're now paying the price for his ineptitude.
