As each week passes, we will realize just how special 2007 was and could have been.

1.) Defense - no pressure until very end. Similar theme this year
2.) Romo looks like a sad little puppy again. Turnover Tony needs to get out of this funk. Maybe T.O. is getting to him or Jessica told him she is getting a breast reduction.
3.) Special teams coverage - bad
4.) Let me know when Ken Hamlin makes a play this year
5.) No inspiration after 1st quarter. No fire
6.) I agree with Aikman. No Witten, no playoffs
7.) Our d-line is very average
8). It is clear we are a finesse team and that won't cut it
9.) It is obvious that Felix Jones needs to play even more
10.) Kurt Warner next week. If we cannot pressure him into mistakes, we will see 375 yards and 4tds.
11.) Dallas is really struggling at home this year
12.) Combined records of teams we have beaten (5-14)
13.) And.. oh well forget it, at least they won

Wake me up Friday..... I'm extremely tired after watching this game.

We had them 17 to 6 at one point and we should have gone for the kill....:bang2:

I am happy that they are 4-1 but that about where it ends..... Felix Jones played great today as did Witten, the defence doesnt pressure the opposing qb very much if at all, this needs to be rectified or this team is going nowhere again

Dallas is having two problems on defense:

1. The outside rushers are getting pushed too far out, and the blitz is not getting there.

2. The DBs are playing too far off the WRs yes I know, it's a broken record but true.

Great thread. You are going to get flamed for the post, but you are dead on.

On paper, this team is better than last year. Julius Jones is gone, but Felix Jones is better. Zach Thomas is a clear upgrade. The whole offensive line is back and Romo has another year of experience.

But what's clear to me through the first five weeks is that this team is not as good as the 2007 version.

Now, it's early and that can change. Remember, the Giants were not the best team in the league last year at week 5. This team has the talent and coaching, and despite playing below their ability, they are still 4-1. I think it will get turned around.

But your thread is dead on, regardless. ;)

Man, it amazes me that people are so down on being 4-1.

What did 5-0 get us last year? The Patriots, right?

This team has an opportunity to learn the things it needs to learn to get to where we all want to be.

1) How to get Romo and the running game going at the same time.
2) How to consistently cover kickoffs.
3) How to tackle PRIOR to the first down marker.

Stuff like that.

You can only beat the teams you play. Outside the division, we have a pretty sweet schedule this year. There's still time to be great. The team peaked too soon last year.

Relax and enjoy.

This season already feels like December.

Sure hope this thing gets going! I want to see some domination!

Oh I disagree. If they can stop shooting themselves in the foot they'll run to the SB this year.

We've learned to win ugly, They showed they could make stops when necessary. They played with fire. The DL gave up 61yds rushing and stopped the Bengals when necessary.

This was a playoff game for the Bengals. They aren't going to the playoffs this year now. For sure. They could win the rest of them but it's very unlikely. We played a team that were playing for their lives and some their jobs.

I think this team has got some character now. I saw something tonite I haven't seen for awhile. A team made plays when it needed them.
