As a Brit who has spent thousands travelling to see the Cowboys play home games as well as on the road at Green Bay & New York I find some of the comments posted regarding the London games as ignorant. When the Cowboys came to London a few years ago It was an opportunity for my kids to see them without it costing me thousands for the pleasure. The Cowboys visit was huge here & they even staged a walk through session on the Saturday for fans to watch. The game itself is extremely popular & has been ever since the mid 80s when we first saw your sport appear on our tvs. These days sky TV have spent millions to show us live games every week including the Thursday, Monday night games along with thanksgiving, the past 2 years we have had access to red zone on a Sunday as well. The fans that have sold out wembley stadium & Twickenham for every single game thrown at them are there because they love the game & follow it just the same as you guys in fact probably more than most of you as they pay to watch different teams not just their own, the thing is most uk fans want their team over here I'd love to see the Cowboys here again just the same as any soccer fans in dallas would love to see a premiership game played over there, unfortunately we do get a raw deal with most of the match ups but we still pack out stadiums with 84000 fans to see them. The atmosphere will never match a home game stateside as the majority of the crowd are made up of NFL fans of many different teams not one team in particular, the designated home team do give out flags, towels etc to create a home feeling & yes fans do try to get loud at the right moments but it's a mixed crowd. When the Cowboys played the jags who were the home team there was more fans backing the Cowboys it's the same when the pats have played here too. Remember soccer is not your thing but we send over enough players to try & boost the MLS profile & we don't think the idea of soccer in the US is dumb we actually back it! Maybe take a trip over sometime & experience the atmosphere of a London game for yourself, according to players & fans who have travelled across they liken it to a superbowl type occasion so it's not all that bad is it? Ps I was at Met life on Sunday night I guess there are cowboys fans on this thread who have never travelled out of texas to see a game so I'd say I'm better placed to have an opinion on the London games than those fans. It's been talked about for ages that the Jags may relocate to London due to the lack of interest in Jacksonville now that would be interesting so see how many UK fans would actually take them on as their team.

I completely understand where you're coming from mate... pompey... Portsmouth?

I'm a huge Liverpool fan and love when they come to the States for pre-season tours and what not, but I would never expect them to play a Premiership match here in mid-December though, you know?

that's my only issue

I would've love to go to London to see the Boys play but them not going is ok too. I don't get why some of y'all are complaining like this really affects y'all though. Guess some have to have something to moan about.
As much as I hate the idea, I actually would go too, but mainly because London is my favorite city, and I can see all my favorite Drum n' Bass and UK Garage DJ's, and go buy vinyl at Blackmarket Records in Soho.

But it's still a dumb idea, and every team that has played there said it's a logistical nightmare. The traveling for teams to play their alone is ridiculous.

They are traveling in chartered flights not by boats they'll be alright. Also for fans like @pompeycowboyuk or us who would travel there this is a chance that rarely happens. That's why its not that bad to me. Now if there was a team there I could understand more but this off brand trip every now and then nah.

Hey maverick, you have it mate portsmouth indeed, been a pompey season ticket holder for to many years now! It's just a distant memory when we played liverpool nowadays we just struggle in league 2.

I agree with what you say as well I'm just disappointed with the view of many that seem to think we brits have no idea what's going on when we watch a game. I love the fact we get regular season games over here & all the time they keep selling out its not going to just disappear. We haven't had Green Bay over yet for the similar reasons we were lucky to get the Cowboys so I'm sure there will be pressure on them to come over maybe next year
