No matter how quickly T.O. recovers from this injury...

...I hope like hell that he sits out for 3 weeks. This will give him plenty of time to heal his entire body and, more importantly, rehab his broken finger. The Cowboys can afford to have him sit out in Week 4 when we play the lowly Titans. I watched Tennessee play yesterday (only because I'm a Vince Young fan) and I'm here to tell you that they're in the same class as the lifeless Packers and Raiders (re: they suck). Dallas wouldn't have much trouble beating them even with their 3rd stringers out there starting this game.

Care to guess where this post is going?

That's right - Eagles in Week 5.

I feel like the Cowboys were given an early Christmas present on Sunday afternoon. Most of us that were watching the eaglets/midgets game agreed that the better team lost this matchup. Philly simply dominated the G-boys for about 3 quarters before they self-imploded and allowed NY to come back late in the 4th quarter from a 17 point deficit to tie the game. Midgets were unimpressive throughout the ordeal and then got really lucky when it looked like you could stick a fork in them. The eaglets? Well, let's just say that they cause me the most worry right now in the NFC East.

And that's why I want El Dorado to take a seat and focus on becoming Parcells' favorite waterboy for the next 3 weeks. With him healthy along with an offensive line looking like they're finally starting to "jellin' like Magellan", and JJ running like he has amnesia and forgot how pathetic he was last season, gives me great cause for mucho optimism-o(?) for this offense.

Factor in a much improved defense and the ea-girls are due for a beatdown not seen since the days of Rodney King flipping the bird at the LAPD.

But in order for this to happen, we need T.O. healthy. Philly never forgives and most certainly never forgets, and those boys are going to do everything within their power to put a hurtin' on him. So anything less than a 100 percent clean bill of health for El Dorito in Week 5 - might spell disaster.

Like my old football coach use to say. "Never underestimate an opponent!"

You could see TO break out a grin when he said "2-4 weeks" as if he figured everyone knows what he's talking about. Philly has a big green circle around it on his calendar... he's NOT missing that game.

I don't care if he catches a single pass. Tape up those three fingers (together for protection) and put him on the field. If they single cover him you will get him free for a big gain. If they still double it opens up the field.

Too early to tell if this was a gift or not. At the end of the season, it could be the Giants who we have to beat for the division and that come-back win could make the difference between an NFC East title for the Giants or the Cowboys or wildcard for either team.

Nevertheless, it seems as if the NFC East is going to be as tough as advertised.

Well, the "gift" that I was alluding to was the fact that we (Cowboy fans) were treated to watching two division rivals go out there and literally beat the snot out of one another for nearly 5 quarters of play.

Given that it went into overtime in the matchup was the icing on the cake. ;)

BTW, thanks mods for selecting my post and placing it in the Opinion Zone out of the plethora of thousands of other opinions that get posted here daily on the real Zone message board. I feel so lucky...
