This is a good sign, they are trying something new, they should know,
They cant win doing what they have been the last 2 games.]
I could be cassell at qb, and or he could be helping the defense prepare for brady. or both.
CM could be starting.

The main way the patriots cheat is by being smarter than all the other teams, and working harder, and being more innovative,
I noticed the balls not deflated dont seem to be hurting brady or his team mates .

How do we know they aren't deflated, maybe they just are better at hiding it now, or paid more money to hide it.....just giving and alternate way to look at it....:D

It would be really funny if the Cowboys were able to give the Patriots ball that were aired up to 30 psi. Brady would probably just cry right there on the field. I can see him pulling out his cell phone and calling Goodell directly to complain.

I hope they are coming up with some wrinkles to help the offense which they don't want on tape, such as running a 12 personnel for Escobar, giving Michael more reps maybe with him in a 2 RB backfield, or some short passing plays for Whitehead.

With the absurd number and the serious nature of the injuries we've had, I'm sure most fans, both inside and outside of Cowboys fandom, realize that no team anywhere would fare well under the same circumstances.

As diehard fans we should also be especially aware that there's no disgrace in losing under the conditions that this team finds itself in. I know of no other team in the league that could sustain themselves in our position.

To a man, we should justifiably temper our expectations with that in mind. Let's not act as though there's no excuse for our inability to compete as though nothing is wrong once this game is over, OK? At some point, good sense should prevail with each of us. OTOH, by all means, feel free to go bonkers if we should win -- LOL.

The injury angle is overplayed. It really is. I don't think people even understand how fortunate Dallas was to have such players to "lose" in the first place.

A vast majority of the league - probably 20 teams or so - don't have to lose their starting QB or #1 WR in order to have garbage at either or both positions. They just have garbage at one - or both - of those positions from the outset. Difficult to win, absolutely, but that doesn't mean losing is any more acceptable.

Losing due to injuries may not be acceptable but it is certainly more understandable, though. Twenty teams being in such bad shape seems like a lot -- are you sure it's actually that many or is that just hyperbole? Well anyhow, there's nothing more to do other than to make the best of it. Hopefully, we'll still be in position to have postseason possibilities towards this season's end.

That's a funny idea, sure 'nuff. It'd be even funnier to see that 30-lb. ball pop in his hand. -- :muttley:

This is a key point. It's not about what's "acceptable", it's about EXPECTATIONS.

I know it's difficult for many fans to acknowledge, but the reality is the past 2 weeks the team that we've fielded doesn't even RESEMBLE the team that we entered the season with. Obviously expectations should be adjusted accordingly.

Now I know there's the folks that relentlessly cry "injuries aren't an excuse!"....and I do agree with that sentiment. However, at some point injuries do become a valid reason for a team to not reach their initial potential.

I submit that if we had Romo and Dez (while still missing everyone that we have been missing), we'd be 4-0 heading into a high profile showdown tomorrow. Unfortunately, that's not the case. And it's not because our coaching staff or roster is garbage...it's because we're missing too many KEY players.

Realistically, the difference between having Romo and Dez and not having them are almost incomparable. It'll be helpful having a few of our defensive stalwarts back but without an offense capable of competing on an even plane with that of the Pats, we'll be at a disadvantage that's extremely difficult to overcome.

Of course, there's always an outside chance to pull off an upset but it's simply one that's clearly a longshot.

I'm consciously keeping my expectations at arm's length, if for no other reason than to avoid setting myself up for a traumatic letdown.

This frustrates me. When was the last time he broke a tackle, 2007?

You are ripping on Witten? ReallyThe guy has taken so many hits and his knees, ankles, and shoulders are probably worn out. But he keeps making huge catches even when everyone knows it's going to him. The guy is a warrior who will most likely struggle to walk after he retires. Give him a break when he can no longer run like a rookie. We are lucky to have him!
