Tank Johnson put a vicious hit on Moore last game. Tank got called for a helmet to helmet hit. The announcers were sure there would be a big fine. But as we look at it again, it looked as if it was a helmet to chest hit. Even Moore after the game said it was not helmet to helmet but maybe a helmet to chin. Bull - if that had hit his chin, his jaw would have been very sore after the game, and Moore would have known it was helmet to chin.

My question?
  • Where is the big fine on Tank Johnson?
  • Or maybe the NFL Refs need to admit they blew that call?
I want to see something on it.
It could very easily have cost us the game.

Regardless, it was a sweet move by Tank, and a textbook tackle.

There is the problem. That is twice in the last three games we were supposed to get a "big fine" but none came.

I knew that was a BS call the minute I saw it. Officiating has been suspect all year both for and against the Cowboys this year. This is one of the cheesiest I have seen.

Wow.
He really didn't hit his helmet at all.

it was a good clean solid hit. viscious? yep. but that's what happens when 300+ lb guys are paid to throw themselves around. i don't want to see anyone get hurt but it's almost like in the roman colluseam days fining someone for impaling the other.

i thought it was a hell of a legal hit and commended tank for it. i hate to see him back off so the qb gets away and scrambles for a 1st down now.

If you wanna win in this league, you gotta beat the refs. You start by minmizing any real penalties you may committ. That way you have a better shot of absorbing the impact of bad calls against you.

Gotta beat the refs! In that Carolina game we did. Against New England we didn't. But we have to learn quick how to do it against playoff-calliber teams to make a Super Bowl win a reality.

The only part about this that is really questionable is that the refs waved off the obvious helmet to helmet shot that Marion took on the previous series and then allowed this very week call to stand.

I understand that they are trying to protect QB's, but that hit on Barber was pretty rough and could have really hurt him.

Refs mneed to be consistent in what they call. Even if they are bad calls, it is more palatable if it goes both ways.
