Terry Glenn didn't even play in the game from which I pulled Crayton's stats; consequently, Crayton could not possibly have benefited from Glenn's presence.

Your argument isn't even applicable here.
I don't think you even realize what my argument is. My argument is against projecting stats. If player X has Y yards and Z TDs in one game vs. team A, you can't say that after game two, he's going to have 2Y yards and 2Z TDs vs. team A.

You seem to understand neither my argument nor the full ramifications of your argument.

I have yet to project any stats. I'm merely discussing Crayton's manifested ability; he has excelled in every role the Cowboys have assigned him, suggesting he's more than capable of replacing Glenn's production

Furthermore, Crayton has played well even in the absence of Terry Glenn. Clearly, Crayton's success is not predicated on Glenn's presence.

Ergo, your argument isn't applicable here. It's akin to discussing mayonnaisse when the argument is about yellow vs. brown mustard.

I'm telling you guys... Crayton is a fine substitute.

Matter fact, many weeks, Crayton will be a better WR than Glenn.

That scenario would be quite pleasing, Spectre.

It was against Arizona.

By the way, I am all for giving them a few games to prove they can do it. I hope they convince me!

Yet if I remember correctly, prior to the Arizona game, people on this board were "afraid" of Arizona.

I dont understand all the front office bashing with regards to the resources allocated to WR over the last few years.

After the 2005 season, it was obvious we need a serious allocation of recources to the WR position.
We had a slightly above average starting WR in Glenn and a good looking young #3 WR in Crayton.
We needed some quality and quantity. We needed a #1 WR a true star to complement Glenn and some developmental type players to grow behind the top 3.
The FO did just that. They invest 25mil in TO and drafted two WR's on the second day.
Judging by 2006 results, I'd say it was a huge sucess. Owens was not quite as dominate as he had been, but was still the best we'd seen around here since Irvin.
Coming into the 2007 season

Considering Arizona wasn't all that good last year I'll take those numbers with a grain of salt. I believe the young fellas will have to step up like Miles Austin...

newsflash

Arizona's pass-D sucks

so does the Giant's

You won't be facing Arizona every week. if your not concerned that much by the absence of Terry Glenn, your truly a HOMER. Your asking a guy whos never faced double teams in his life to come and replace a borderline Pro Bowl player.

Keep drinking the kool-aid. Just don't use this as an execuse when Romo struggles. I can already see the "Romo didn't have Glenn" excuse.

New offensive coordinators
Average offensive line
Young QB
New system
Only one good starting WR
Average running backs

Your in for a long season.

this coming from a fan whose team went 5-11 last year, and who added burnt-toast and a LB to "improve" themselves

btw, it's "you're"

I can't wait until WR17 gets banned.

If he keeps going like he is, it won't be long.

Get a life. Get a team. Moron. By the way, Patrick Crayton has made mincemeat of Sean Taylor the last 3 years. So worry about that.
