Yes, no qb should be taken in the 1st by us. With Rams trading up they should take one and Cleveland should take one. That'll give us bosa jack and Ramsey on the board or trade back for more

Trade back is less likely now with both QBs likely off the board.

Just curious, at what point do you think we should address a QB?
The price of getting a QB this year was as cheap as it's ever going to be. Unless you expect to have 3 or 4 wins again next year

From what I've heard Lynch is the player we like a lot. Don't be surprised is all I can say.

Immediately following the NFL season, he was considered a top 5 pick. This trade up will only increase his value.

All 3 QBs will go on top 10, possibly top 5.

There is like a .01% Paxton Lynch goes Top 5.

Sure he was considered a top prospect as the season went on but as teams then started their due diligence they began to realize just how raw he was. Hence why he's fallen down most draft boards.

If Dal wants him, will have to take him @4. We will be gone top 15 for sure.

You have it backwards. If we took one in the top 4 it would have been the MORE expensive, not the least expensive.

Plenty of good QBs exist outside the top 5 in the draft.
For the last 15 years there have been many great QBs available in the middle of the 1st round.
In fact 8 of the last 11 QBs that won Super Bowls were taken outside the top 10 in the draft...
And one of those three taken in top 6 was Dilfer. lol Not sure he should count.

I'm not saying you should wait every year until the later rounds...that would require serious luck.
But picking outside the top 10 has proven to be ok

Well that actually sucks. We should definitely trade down or even see what we could get to trade out of first round altogether.

I've been saying since minute 1 that Lynch would go top 15. Now with this trade, I'm even more sure. SF, Philly, NO could easily take him.

If Dallas wants him, they may have to take him at #4.

All quarterbacks in the draft just moved up a few notches in rankings because of this trade. Qbs like Cook and Hackenberg will be taken in the late 1st to early 2nd round. Prescott and Brissett may become late 2nd to early 3rd round picks. There is a good chance Lynch is the 4th overall pick for us.

The two biggest reasons for losing games last year was inept QB play and lack of turnovers. The Dline was definitely the weak part of the defense.

With it likely that the top 2 QB will be gone, and the fact that Romo will solve the problem at QB (provided he stays healthy) I think drafting DE at #4 is a no brainer.

There are 3 positions where there is a huge dropoff from picking in the top of the draft to middle of 1st round. QB, DE, OT. That's why to me you have to use the 4th pick on one of those positions or trade down. With it starting to llook like QB is out of play and given the strength of the OLine DE seems like a no brainer. I say take the best DE on the board at #4. and you hopefully don't have to use a 1st round pick on Dline for a while.

I agree we should not take QB in first round. Having said that I doubt Browns will take Goff/Wentz they gave up 53 sacks last year 30th in league they need to shore up the OL before they take a QB They will take Tunsil or trade back. So if Goff falls to us we trade back.

That's what got Titans HC fired 1st round QB running for his life behind worst OL in league.

You don't think Jalen Ramsey fills a real need? at this point, Ezekial Elliot would be a good pickup as well but if not Zek, I am thinking definitely Ramsey. Can you imagine?

I am sorry but this trade up by Rams hurts us because we do need to grab Goff/Wentz. There is no guarantee Romo will play out this whole year let alone next few years. He is 36 with back and collarbone issues. We all seen what happened to us when he went down. I think it would be irresponsible to not shore up our future at QB. Now that being said, we may have to be a little more creative now with a little hope that Romo does stay healthy atleast 1 year seeing that top 2 QBs in this draft will be gone by pick #4.

I say we definitely need to grab Paxton Lynch/Prescott/Hackenburg somewhere in this draft. Just don't miss out every single pick like we did last year when we tried to get cute and wait it out to next pick for our RB only to find every RB picked just before our pick came up.

Haha these qbs wouldn't have came in this year or next two and produced wins. Romo is still a top 5 qb. We can build around him and take a qb in the 3rd or 4th if there is one there

Finally someone with intelligents. I would like your post but apparently I'm too new. Romo had a great year AFTER back surgery. Non throwing collarbone is not a problem. These people where do they come from ?
