No respect from NBC Sports

It probably means there aren't a lot of players on the team giving scoops to reporters. I love to think that they have nothing but Detroit on their minds.

What have you noticed? A lot of people wearing Panthers gear today at the gym...lol...

I live in Swansboro, there is Panther crap every where. Two weeks ago you wouldn't have known the Panthers were a NC team.

The less respect the Cowboys get the better they perform. Everyone was counting the team out prior to the season this was the least respected Cowboys team in years and it led to a 12-4 season and a division title. This is fueling the Cowboys fire hope the lack of respect keeps coming.

The NFC South has sucked this year. They knew that whoever won that turd field of a division was going to go into the playoffs with a losing record.

They know that most do not care to watch a game with a team in the playoffs that is not even .500.

So what do they do....they start hyping it up once the winner was decided to try and make it more intriguing to viewers...to get them to want to watch the game.

Reminds me of how they have some of the UFC fights and start promoting them...they will have one guy that is an absolute stud facing another guy that is a good fighter but nowhere near the same caliber...so they start hyping it up like the second guy actually might have a chance. They also hype up a dislike between the fighters to make it seem like they really hate each other and it will be personal in the ring when most of the time they don't feel that way towards each other...sure there are exceptions to it when they actually do hate each other, or the other guy actually has a chance and wins....but for the most part they know they need to hype up the week side of the competition for ratings and viewers.

This is what is going on with the Panthers and the sudden media coverage of them. They are a stinky turd from a stinky NFC South where nobody had a winning record and now they are in the playoffs. So to get some to tune in they start hyping them up for the match.

Does not mean they can not win, just means they need to hype it up.

Florio is trying to stir the pot. Again.

Most assume that Garrett’s 12-win season will be enough to get him a new deal from owner Jerry Jones. But there’s a school of thought in some league circles that, if the Cowboys lose at home on Sunday against the Lions, Garrett could be gone.

And what league circles would that be? Sorry seems more like a one man circle jerk over his inflated opinions.

Of course, so could Garrett. But no one else seems to be interested in hiring Garrett. Which still makes sense.

I'd bet there would be suitors if Jason hit the open market.

Anyone who thinks Garrett who just led the team to a 12-4 record and a division title is crazy if they think a one and done is going to get him fired after he survived 3 straight 8-8 seasons.

If the Boys win and they go on to play the Packers there will be a lot of talk on that. Because of the tradition of the two franchises I'm sure that Cowboys @ Packers will get a lot of hype from the media leading up to the game.

We don't need media coverage better to fly low under the radar.

NBC Sports wonders if Garrett gets fired if we are one and done???? I knew we wouldn't get much respect but this is ridiculous. Espn doesn't have any stories on us? NFL com has very little on us? What is the deal? I don't really care but you would think there would be an article about our offense and Romo's season. I guess we are the most hated team in sports, especially by the media. In the early 90's we were headlines everywhere BEFORE we won anything. Not anymore........Got to win first I guess....

From Coach or the year candidate to One and Done. :lmao:

It will be 'Ice Bowl II' 24/7 the moment the Cowboys vanquish the Lions.

Carolina is all of a sudden unbeatable.

Trying to hype up Carolina to get people to watch? Since Carolina has a losing record then that might turn people off to wanting to watch the game. So if they make Carolina out to be the hot team they can draw people into watching that game.

I didn't take the article as disrespectful. I saw it as mindless rambling used to fill blog space.

Will a one-and-out lead to Jason Garrett’s ouster?

When the Cowboys’ season ends, coach Jason Garrett’s contract expires. What happens next remains to be seen.

Most assume that Garrett’s 12-win season will be enough to get him a new deal from owner Jerry Jones. But there’s a school of thought in some league circles that, if the Cowboys lose at home on Sunday against the Lions, Garrett could be gone.

Garrett could literally have an affair with Gene and he'd still get a new contract.

Not the most hated, but among the most heavily scrutinized.

Maybe I'm just being a homer, but I think the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC. I dont care whats written about the team. As long as they go execute. If they can get to the superbowl, their will be plenty articles.

After the Cowboys beat the Lions you are going to see an UNPRECEDENTED amount of media for the Cowboys - Packers game.

Cowboys / Packers consistently draw the largest TV audiences, both have huge national followings, and actually have some really interesting history. If you already weren't sick of seeing Bart Starr cross the goal line on that QB sneak 47 years ago prepare yourself to see it every 30 seconds on ESPN.

It's a absolute dream matchup for Fox and I suspect media purchased for TV commercial time during the game will break all non-Superbowl NFL game records.

I remember a USA Today article back in 92 written by some non-sports author. She said "I know the Dallas Cowboys and you are no Dallas Cowboys." She went on to ridicule the franchise for thinking it could achieve what it had under Landry. This was 15 years after their last Super Bowl win and they got no respect. Everyone was saying they're a couple of years away. Sort of like now. I'm not saying the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl like the 92 team, but I started a thread about parallels between the 92 and 14 teams. This is one of them, the reluctance to go ahead and admit that this is a pretty good team.

Oh you started that thread. That was a good one. I agree, we're young but that doesn't mean we're not ready. The triplets in 92 were 26, 26 and 23. I believe ours are 34, 27, 26. While the O-line is much younger than in 92, I think Romo's experience and ups and downs makes up for the experience everyone else lacks.
