Both Anthony Barr and Aaron Donald have two sacks among a few others.

I think it's going to be interesting seeing Demarcus Lawrence out there. I think this extra time to improve his body is going to pay dividends for him compared to other rookies.

If Lawrence helps spark this defense, he could still be in the running for defensive rookie of the year. An award we have never won.

That being said, I think we're more likely to get that next year focusing on defense.

We haven't had an offensive rookie of the year since Emmitt Smith. Zack Martin has a real chance to not only be the first Cowboy to get it in 24 years, but also the first offensive linemen to get it in NFL history.

Anthony Barr has been excellent for Minnesota playing as a Leo. He is on pace for more then 100 tackles and I wouldnt be surprised if he puts the QB down 4 or 5 times the second half of the season

Hoping to be half the man Tom Landry was.

What is awesome is that we don't NEED Demarcus Lawrence to come in and be a super star to win. That takes the pressure off of him so he can just go out and play. If he started earlier this year he would have felt the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Can't validate it, but sacks in general league-wide seem to be down.

Teams just look like they are throwing the ball quicker. More quick passes to slot players and backs.

There are two backs in Forte and Bell who are pretty high in terms of overall receptions.

If you just look at the top 10 pass rushers they're on pace for more sacks than 2013.

We will if we want to win in the playoffs.

Like I said, did not examine things, just a feeling.

Perhaps that is due to the fact that some of the players leading the statistical race are hardly what you would consider pass rushing terrors.

Sacks are down league wide.

Last season there were 2.5 sacks per game. This year? 2.2 per game.

Pass attempts are down 35.4 per game from last year to 35.1 per game this year.

But completions are up a little from 21.7 per game last year to 22.2 per game this year.

He would have to do something amazing to win DROY in only 8 games played.

I think if he helps to take this defense to the next level, he will get enough attention to do that. I don't think any rookie defensive player has really made a name for themselves yet.

And all eyes are on Dallas right now. Same reason why Martin has a chance at OROY.

My point wasn't that he would win DROY, but that he has every opportunity to do it despite missing the first half of the year.
