No vet signings this week?

Thought for sure they'd bring back Sterling Moore or possibly sign another vet CB? Don't know how you can go into the KC game -- a west coast passing offense -- with a questionable Claiborne and only 3 healthy CBs (one of whom is a rookie). And while I liked how hard our young DTs played, I would lke to see this team at least kick the tires on some vet DTs who could provide more of an interior pass rush. Thoughts?

Who's out there at DT? It would be easy to make room for one by just cutting Long. I'd rather have Moore than McCray but McCray is vested and they won't cut him now and have to pay him all year. It will take an injury to bring Moore back unless they finally think they do without Arkin or Weems.

for every player you bring in you have to cut one. who do you want to cut for moore. arkin would be my choice, maybe weems. as for a dt we get rat back in probably 6 or 7 weeks. i don't think they will want to cut another player to add a vet dt after the way the dline played. i think they will ride with what they have till rat is back

If they sign somebody, the only possible cut I can think of is David Arkin. Once Brian Waters is ready, Mackenzy Bernadeau is the backup guard on gamedays. I like the roster the way it is now, and Claiborne's injury isn't serious for them to make a move at corner right now. And when (or if) J-Rat is ready, they will probably just cut Jerome Long.

I would cut Long if we pick up a DT, and cut Arkin if we pick up a CB. I like Arkin fine enough as a backup G, but a backup OT like Weems is harder to find and Costa can play G in a pinch.

I still dont see how you have only 4 CB's, but 6 S's, on this team. Especially with one of the CBs a rookie and another pretty injury-prone.

i think between arkin and weems you look long term. which player, if either have the most upside. i think there are dozens of guys with the skill arkin has at the end of every draft. i did'nt see anything that impressed me with weems in the off season but he has less time in the league and there may be a future for him. one thing in his favor is parnell will be up soon for a contract and when he is, he is gone

Pellerin can be signed off PS if necessary. Johnson can go on IR like last season.

Last week you were worried that our Dline stinks and Wilson was gonna run all over us.

The NFL office called. We ran the fax machine out of paper last week so we had to cool it for a while.

I missed the part of the game where the DL pressured Manning relentlessly and stopped him from throwing for 450 yards.

And had Wilson not fumbled twice and be taken out of the game, and the Giants not given up 4 other gift turnovers, the Giants would have run on us...

Do not tease. Seymour would be sweet.
I wasn't trying to say we're looking at them or going to sign them. There was some interest in Okoye, but his price is too high according to Stephen Jones. I called my shot on Brian Waters and stuck to my guns there despite denials by the team. Not doing that with either of these players at this point. I agree, he would be. I think they are focused on Ratliff coming back before they would look at anyone else.

I initially was begging for Seymour but maybe its in the best interest to let some of these young guys get some playing time. But boy talk about depth if you could bring in a Seymour.

Tanner is another option as well he has no value to this team at all he fumbled his only carry and Dunbar is coming back plus by Midseason Randle will be ready to get some playing time, I think the right thing to do depth wise for this team is to cut Tanner/Weems and bring in a Moore and the biggest load of a DT that can play a little bit..

He is injured / rusty enough to be a major liability at this point. We need another vet in his stead until he gets healthy.
