No Zeke might be what this teams needs

The coaches on this team have become too dependent on Zeke. Some of this might not be what you want to hear. Two possibilities over next six games are: 1) Dak & Defense become their own man and surprise NFL or 2) things get ugly quickly as defense craters & Dak is forced to make all throws purely from pocket and looks avg at best. In scenario 2, I think it cost Marinelli his job & Cowboys are forced to draft RB reasonably high in draft to cover any future Zeke-less games.

What happens if Dallas goes 4-2 over next six games? Then I think Dallas is super bowl contender. However, I think scenario 2 is more likely. Remember, Zeke was drafted to extend Tony Romo career & protect defense. With Zeke history (now 1 more suspension from being out of NFL) Dallas is in unusual high risk position. To offset this, Dallas will need to draft RB in first 4 rounds of draft AND make some significant adds in FA to address: DT, S & LB because this team can no longer get away with Tony Romo carrying the team. Defense getting better is no longer nice idea - its a necessity.

The good news is we don't have to wait long for these answers. We will know after next 2 games which direction this is headed.

Fair enough points. However, I believe Dak will take this offense on his back and carry them through these games without Zeke. As far asdefense, that will have to be fixed in offseason though draft and FA.

They won't change anything.

They have their system and they may switch it up for the type of RB that's in the game but you won't see any coaching that enters the chess side of football on our end.

personally, I think the o-line is finding its groove now and I see Morris, DMac, and Smith being very successful (although I do worry about ball security with DMac and Smith)

ultimately I don't think the offensive gameplans change much
