Nolan defense system is trash is so bad

He needs to be let go and play a dame 4-3 defense , get rid of this absurd nickle package all of the time, I can deal with playing 2 lb and getting run all year

 

Yes, Nolan is dealing with some talent issues on defense. Fine. But he makes mistakes that have nothing to do with talent.

Let's start with how he gets conservative when he has a team in a 1st or 2nd and long situation. He seems content to just give up 7-9 yards easily to prevent an opposing team from getting a first down. Today, I believe, we had the Skins in 2nd and 19, and the defense played a really soft zone, they picked up 11 yards and made it a more manageable 3rd down. And this happens weekly.

And his blitz designs are so mundane. I watched LVE blitz, twice I believe, where all he does is just run straight into the heart of the OL. Smith did it as well. Nolan just seems to think throw an extra guy at the OL and someone will break free.

The sad thing is he's going to be here for at least another season or two. And he's going to influence the talent acquisition process as well. People better prepare themselves for a leat two more years of mediocre to bad defense here.

 

The defense was put in bad situations by the way the offense played and the coaching.

 

Give me an example.

 

Nolan's entire program is a loser. The difference between what the Redskins players do with read/react, pursue and tackle vs. the Cowboys is like night and day.

Is tge defense good? No but today is not on them

You can't teach a complex defense to scrubs. Especially when one of those scrubs is argurably one of the dumbest players in football

 

Of mistakes that Nolan made this game.

 

No they just allowed 21 points in like 90 seconds of the 4th quarter all runs up the middle. They allowed 20 points in the first half. This defense sucks.

 

playing 2 lb is a mistake every game

 

Especially when one of them is Jaylon Smith.

It's like we're playing with 1 LB out there

 

Don’t have the players , we’re down to 2 CB’s at one point. He’s handicapped with personnel. Bad DT’s, Bad CB’s , a bad safety.

 

I watch the Cowboys defense its like there are gaping holes in zones and gaping holes for RBs. I watch the Redskins defense and they have 10 guys all within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage and the ball is snapped and they just swarm in at the QB and stuff the RB in the backfield along the way. I hate Nolans defense and though he should be fired after the Rams game.

 

so he as limited DB but still plays 2 LB makes less sense, I love to see LEE, SMith and LVE on the field at once

 

I'd say soft coverage against a historic dink and dunk QB.

 

And who is supposed to cover those RB's out of the backfield? Jaylon Whiff? LVE? Woods?

 

Oh yah, that will make all the difference in the world. These clowns just gave up 21 points and 3 rushing TD's in 90 seconds all up the middle to ice the game.

 

The defense is bad but theyve made an improvement

and they werent bad today.......the reason they gave up points is due to coaching you give NFL athletes the ball in your territory multiple times theyre going to score and the Football team did
