After the Eberflus debacle, I no longer believe in this GM and FO. It was evident very very early on that the defense was going to be flat awful. And indeed it was.

Anyway, the fact we clung to him like that told me we were clueless from a football perspective.

I'm so disinterested, I couldn't even tell you much about this year's draft. And that's new for me because I usually follow it.

Ill just kinda watch from afar this year.

You'll perk up when the UDFA WRs hit the field in training camp...

Hiring Eberflus made sense at the time.
- 1st time Head Coach paired with an experience D-Coordinator and ex-HC.

Firing Eberflus mid-season wouldn't really solve anything.

Their approach to hiring the D-Coordiator and defensive staff this season seems completely different than anything the Joneses have done in the past.

We'll see if they are serious when free agency starts.
- They have be active in free agency to give the defense a chance.

Firing Eberflus early on would have made sense tho.

I wasn’t surprised by the Eberflus hire. The same guy who hired him hired Zimmer to a one year deal the season before.
I wasn't either. I was, however, surprised by how bad the on-field product was. So surprised, I didn't need to see more to know that it made sense to fire him before game 4, and surely before game 5.

Traeshon Holden looked really good in the preseason.
He did. I think he sticks around the team. I still like him better than Bond. I know that's a hot take.

If you think about it, Holden is in the perfect environment to flourish, just like Flournoy.

Holden has a better chance than my boy Crop, if I'm honest.

I can understand that the Eberflus hire and the stinkin players that were brought in to play in his terrible scheme al his horrible coaching performance, has put a bad taste in the mouth for many for sure. But for some reason I feel Ol Jerry will go get the dawgs needed for this new Christian Parker led defensive attack. Ol Jerry has let Schottenheimer

Good Post, Ol Jerry failed bigtime last season, but I think this new Defensive coaching staff under Christian Parker, will put pressure on Ol Jerry to bring the players needed for Parkers new scheme to function properly. We are going to see soon, but things feel different, I think Ol Jerry may have finally felt some embarrassment, in his GM duties and will be quicker to react for this young coaching staff through free agency. I look for 5 or 6 quality free agents to be acquired, and the rest filled through the draft, this defense will be better next season I do believe. Especially if this combination of Schottenheimer and Parker can continue making the decisions going forward.

Give it time...we will sign a few former 1st rounders who arent good and Jerry will try to sell it to us like hot cakes.
I hope not, I hope Ol Jerry has learned his lesson from the way he helped kill last season with his annual terrible off season moves. Ol Jerry shouldn't be hiring any coaches or picking any players or negotiating player contracts.

Clung to him? They fired him very quickly.

There are plenty of players available that can help the team.

Isn't it fairly common to give a coordinator at least one year? It's been standard to end of contract. In most cases

What Pass2 Run is saying is Eberflus should have been fired during the season. Although I think a lot of last season's problems was Ol Jerry's fault, they did manage to fire Eberflus pretty quickly after the season, which with this front office, was in itself a blessing. Dallas has a coach now with a pulse that wants to coach this team. Parker sounded really good in that press conference, and I believe we are good hands now. Schottenheimer and Parker look like a great fit, I like this team's direction going forward.

The last 30 drafts didn't contribute to a Super Bowl. This one probably won't either.
