So Romo the risk taker gets Dallas to .500 the last few years and thus far in 2013 Romo the football protector has Dallas at .500. I can certainly see how this debate could rage for a while.

Yea, lets compare 16 games to 2. Makes sense.

A lot of Cowboys fans are getting what they asked for - and now they don't like it.

They wanted a cautious, risk-averse quarterback and conservative playcalling. Well guess what - it doesn't get you very far.

So the defense, special teams, rest of the offense, coaching staff, front office, etc... have nothing to do with the W/L record?

Sometime circa 2008 Jason Garrett discovered a team from Foxborough Massachusetts, started watching their game tape and decided they were pretty good. Everything from that point on has been this obsession of creating a second rate version of what they do.

From attempting to neuter Romo into some faux Brady to his obsession with the 12 personnel package that not a single coach on the offense seems to understand, it has taken the copycat league mentality to absurd levels.

The entire offense is a bleh, meh, non-attacking boring offense. I don't know who's fault that is entirely, I just know it to be true. Our offense is boring.

If Romo was the one who called the WR screen to Williams in the red zone while Dez was single covered, then he should never be allowed to call or change a play again, ever.

Sure and when he throws his next pick it's Romo needs to let the defense do it's job and not force anything.

Romo will be fine. He played pretty well the last two games considering his injury and the game situations. We'd be 2-0 without the Dunbar fumble. Saints and Pats are 2-0 with their superior QBs not scoring much either.

Yep.

Let Romo have another NY Jets or Detroit game and see how quiet the "He should go back to his old gunslinging ways" crowd gets.

The Detroit game wasn't all on Romo.

And the ultra conservative offense we have now isn't all on Romo either. It's no coincidence our offense has looked horrible since we got a new playcaller.

How far did the other one get us?
