A GOOD FRIGGIN' KICKER!!!!!!!!!!

does anybody have a list POTENTIAL free agent kickers? Kickers that are worth their weight, if there will be any at all.

Adam Vinatieri and Mike Vanderjagt head the list of UFAs at the end of this year.

I'd take either.

It's not the kicker, it's the deep snapper.

How about a freakin' veteran deep snapper???

Le'ts bring Hoffman back.

I didn't see the deep snapper hook the kick to the left. Every game costing kick this season(2 or 3?) came where the ball was put down in enough time.

Plus I would prefer to have a kicker that can get the ball in the endzone at least 50% of the time. Again, the deep snapper is not responsible for that either.

Oh boy me too! ...... here's the "kicker", I'd pay them 2 million a year.

I thought Vinatieri signed a long term deal before the season?

Plus, with the salary cap situations of both teams I'd say Vanderjagt will be free before Vinatieri is.

Either one would be perfect and are worth their weight.

Rackers re-signed, I don't think Vinatieri has. If he did, I never saw a news article on it.

The way Parcells like to play the game(conservative) , the kicker could be the most important position after the QB.

I am pretty sure one of these guys signed a long term deal, but I do not see either team letting them go.

Billy is our man. I'm happy with that, why not? He's a solid kicker. Of course, now everyone wants to throw him to the wolves for missing a kick. But it's not like the game was on his foot at the ending seconds. We had more chances after and before. I'm pretty sure Newman dropped an INT that he would most likely have taken to the house. A solid 2-3 missed tackles on Dayne's last run. A dropped 3rd and 1 pass. It's all the little things the team should worry about, not the kicker. If this team was good enough, it wouldn't have come down to a kick. It happens, time to move on.

Hell, even if it isn't a free agent kicker, just get us one who can make the makeable field goals.
I agree. A 56 yard FG is impressive but I don't want to be hanging a game on something like that; the percentage of time that ANY kicker will make that is just way too low. Most of the time you can get in close enough to get a shot under 45 yards and from there on in it needs to be near automatic. I was not thrilled to see Cundiff return because he has always been inconsistent. I would have rather seen us bring in France or Novak than to resign Cundiff; particularly France since he did not miss a FG in Philly. I never quite got why they released him and signed a POS like Cortez.
