Isn't that Matt McBriar as the holder on Folk's FG and not Brad Johnson?

I wonder if they are watching the waiver wire for a QB? I was under the impression Johnson was the holder regardless.

Having to watch him play qb here is absolutely awful for me. Last night He looked particularly bad, like superbad....

He made one decent throw and that was the td to stanback, who seemed to explode out of his break and seperate himself from the db's.

They are just about the same exact size. Both 6'1" and McBriar is listed at 223, Folk at 225. I think it is the angle and the fact McBriar had to stand up from his kneel.

When was this? All I've heard all summer was how good Brad Johnson is on holds.

It looked like Johnson was holding for Gramatica last night while McBrier was holding for Folk. I guess they were letting them go with the holder that they practice with and each practices with a different holder. It's another reason to keep (small, minor reason) Folk...I never liked the idea of the QB (even second string QB) holding for kicks. The QB is not in a good frame of mind when he is holding for kicks since he and the offense have just failed to get the TD. If your second string QB is actually (God forbid) in the game it puts him in that same situation. I always liked the idea of having the punter hold for them because he has more time to practice with the deep snapper and kicker.

I think last week Johnson held for Grammy and Mcbriar held for Folk.

I think McBriar has been holding for Folk all camp. This is probably just a way to keep Folk comfortable while he's fighting for his job.

Stanback is a WR now...we need to get over that college QB status like we did with Crayton (also college QB). If you want to ditch Johnson that's one thing but we need to leave Stanback out of the QB equation.

I watched some highlights of Stanback this morning on youtube. He definately is a "running" QB. Didn't see much in the way of a passing game from him. But he can sure run and make people miss. Sounds like he is adjusting to the WR pos pretty easily

Folk obviously has a post-NFL future as a TV evangelist.
