Raiders: Got a 31 year old potential malcontent that will eat up their cap when they could have kept a 25 year old non-diva now playing for Dallas.

Browns: Got a uber-talented head case playmaker that can lead them to glory or divide the locker room in half.

Jets: Paid top dollar for a RB the Steelers decided they could live without.

Ravens: Risking $32 million guaranteed on a safety that's missed most of the past two seasons. I wanted ET in Dallas, but not at that rate.

Remember, the teams that are the most active early in free agency are usually the ones that need the most help (hence the desperate dollar amounts) and often end up ruing these decisions a year or two later.

Who has only played 16 games in one out of five NFL seasons. I love OBJ's talent but he has literally missed half his games from the last two years - on a 90 Million dollar contract.

Amari Cooper should count for the Cowboys. They just got an early start...

Yes!! People calling the Cowboys inactive and cheap forget they are just months removed from trading for a new WR 1 and and less than a year shy of making Zack Martin the highest paid guard in the game.

How many fans would want, say, Landon Collins instead of both Cooper and Martin?

  • Raiders: Antonio Brown
  • Browns: Odell Beckham Jr.
  • Jets: Le'veon Bell
  • Ravens: Earl Thomas
  • Cowboys: A 36-year old broadcaster
(NFL Memes)

How many of those five are locks for the Hall of Fame? Two, maybe three and Witten is one of them.

How man of the five are sure locks to be a successful NFL Coach? One, and its our guy.

And wouldn't it be hilarious if the '36-year old broadcaster' outperforms them all in 2019 and turns out to be the best of the bunch.
Realizing this is his last hurrah as a player, you gotta know that Witten’s gonna bust a gut getting into the best shape possible, come to camp on a mission and enter the season loaded for bear.

J-Dub’s not through with this league yet.

For a player his age, a season off should make him very fresh, too. Witten will have gone almost 20 months without taking a beating from the 2017 season finale to the first 2019 preseason game he plays in (probably the third one).

Also, the leadership factor — on and off the field — will be immense.

Look I love Witten too guys but c'mon man pretending like he's gonna come in and have some major impact is absolutely asinine.
Witten's gonna catch a 3 yard pass and fall over 7 yards short of the first on 3rd and 10. Quit kidding yourselves, the guy shouldn't be here. He just shouldn't, at least it's dirt cheap.

Yeah it would. It's probably not happening though.

With that kind of logic Troy Aikman should be lining up under center again this season. His legs should feel like they have just been washed with Sea Breeze as long as he has been laying off. Talk about fresh legs.

Great point, Dallas does not want to risk the future for players who might not help the club that much, based on the size of the contracts.
