Tim MacMahon‏@espn_macmahon
Rick Carlisle on Jason Garrett: "Few coaches in that situation would be able to do what he’s done."

Jonathan Bales ‏@BalesFootball
@josh_ellis11 @espn_macmahon no one seems to know the NFL and Cowboys quite like NBA coaches

This just gets better.

Man there are a ton of people that support him...of course none of them know anything about football including Jerry!

They probably chum together, they are both HC's of pro teams? I rarely see "employed" coaches quoted for supporting the firing of another HC. Kind of a gentleman's thang.

I know why they like Jason so much. He bought up those extra boxes of sleeved uni's the Mavs had.

Garrett getting support is really pissing a lot of you off. :D Good stuff.

Garrett getting support from basketball owners and coaches does not piss me off in the least. It is just irrelevant and it is hilarious that some will actually try to use it like it has any relevance whatsoever.

Quick, can we get a quote from the Texas Rangers' manager about Garrett? Enquiring minds want to know.

I find all of this comical. What are coaches supposed to say about each other. I remember when Cowher would get asked about the Texans job opening he would say all the right stuff..."Gary is a great coach. Sharp guy. They have no reason to fire him." No one ever comes out and says, "you know, that guy should lose his job, Really horrible at game management. Why is he still around."

I dont seem to remember coaches getting votes of confidence from coaches in other leagues though, that is what is so funny about this.

Does Gregg Popavich with the Spurs comment on how good or bad a job Trestmen is doing with the Chicago Bears? ..................................just sounds dumb for coaches to comment about other coaches in other leagues that they know nothing about.

Spin anyway you like. Support is support. I could care less who it comes from. But it did happen.

Really if JG could gracefully fall off the face, and wake up in FO somewhere, that would be best for him. Maybe college?
