It does
I bet you were a bully at the shelter.
It does
ght you were officially worried months agoWhen Jerra the infernal optimist refers to some on the defensive team as "no names" I begin to break out in a sweat, man, sweating more sweat than that guy halfing to answer how he sprained his two ankle.
He toldt the Associated Press You’ve got guys out there, no-name guys. You’ve got guys out there who retired. You’ve got guys who are coming back from injury. Man, this is a ‘to prove’ group.'
And he is right. He forgot to mention the couch guys and street guys who replaced street guys as adetroitly stated by a Forum brother last week.
I half been saying the above also but now we no we are really in for it, when the head cheerleader say this.
Great offense. Horrific defense.

The good news: Your posts bring a lot of smiles and laughter.
The bad news: Nobody is laughing with you, only at you.
See, you're worrying needlessly. It's self-defeating behavior, Mr. Ball, and even JJ doesn't do that.
You've used this same thread title beforeszzz, time to change it up.

I am not a Jerry Jones apologist...but in fairness....he has tried. Sean Lee should be the anchor and leader right now. Brandon Carr was the top FA CB a couple of years ago. Mo Claiborne was the #6 overall pick. Bruce Carter is a 2nd round pick. Crawford was a 3rd round pick. Scandrick is a Top 5 slot CB. We spent a 3rd round pick on the Safety out of Georgia Southern. DeMarcus Lawrence is a 2nd round pick. Melton is a pro bowl caliber player. So this side of the ball has not been ignored....but some of these guys have just flat out not shown up...be it injury...or coaching.....or simply not as good as advertised. But that side of the ball has gotten enough attention to avoid historically bad performances.....definitley not a top 15 defense...but this defense should not be in the bottom 5 of the league.
Sorry but not ever body got to go to a fancy college like Samford like you.
I am learning and growing at night classes and soon I will spell good like ever one here. Be patent and one day you will say to yourself in that way you half: "Hey, the man is learning and growing and can spell better than Pat Saject " That Is a world I want you to live in.
Not a fan of the Jar-Jar Binks school of forum posting, I take it?

Great Offense = sober Jerry
Horriffic Defense = drunk Jerry
I disagree, JJ spent some money on D WHEN HE HAD TO. But during the draft this guy has not drafted a DL with a top pick for years, decades. He rode Parcels players out to the ground. It wasn't until 2013 or 2012? We drafted 2 DL, mid rounders.
I'm sorry JJ has to do better. This is football and it's main philosophy is three points. Score points, protect your qb and get to their qb.
You are right, other than the first round picks on Ware and Spencer....has not spent 1st round picks on DL since then. But you only get 1 first round pick a year. And by all accounts...the 3 first round picks he spent on OL...are going to be top 5 players at there position at some point in there careers. He did spend a 1st round pick on Dez...and by all accounts...he is a top 5 player at his position.
Let me be clear...I am not a fan of Jerry Jones. But we can't say he knows what he is doing when the 1st rounders he picks hit...then say he is clueless when Mo Claiborne plays like a 4th rounder...or Felix Jones proves to be a "JAG"
Sometimes it is on the players/coaches....Sean Lee and Bruce Carter both had 1st round grades from the Cowboys. Mo was called "Deion Sanders like" Those are 3 recently drafted players spent on the DEFENSE. Now they have not panned out thus far...for various reasons...but when your 1st round talents...don't show up...it sets you back.
So as the architect of this franchise (much to my chagrin)....it is Jerry's responsibility to figure out why the resources he has spent on defense have not hit like the ones he has spent on offense....whether it is coaching, scouts, changing philosophies....or the talent is simply overrated....but I am just trying to dispel the notion that the defense has been ignored.
I happen to agree...but that speaks to philosophy. In fact...with the new rules and spread formations...the "shutdown CB" is a myth. But no matter how the rules changed...."rushmen" will never be phased out of the game. Having said that...he did spend a hefty price on Carr and Claiborne....so they need to play to their paycheck/draft status. The Cowboys had 1st round grades on Lee and Carter...they need to play to that level. The picks used on Lawrence, Crawford and Wilcox are top 100 picks...they need to play to that. You will not be able to put a top 10 pick at every position. But he has spent on areas of this defense that are not performing....for whatever reason.I'm referring to DT's , those big nasties in the interior of the defense. But I'm also shock beside Spencer when was the last quality pick on the DL? JJ been busy throwing away picks on flashy players. We traded away 2 quality players for Mo. We burnt a first rounder on a center while we could have drafted several quality centers in previous years in lower rounds. We could have solidified our oline in one draft with Feddrick and Watford. Heck we could have traded up a few more spots for short. But we went after Eascboat, for some reason this team have a fascination with TEs and WRs. We won't draft Ware or Romo replacment until it's too late but we will constantly try to dethrone Witten.
Please don't ever change your writing style. You're by far the most unique and instantly recognizable poster here, at least for me after seeing you around here for 10 years (holy crap, that's ancient in internet years).
Don't change for these bozos
EDIT: or 8 years, however long you've been here lol

As far as the Center...I have no problem with that....if he starts for 7 - 8 years...and plays at a high level...then I don't care what round he was drafted in...he was worth it.
Will never understand why they keep using 2nd rd picks on TEs. Especially BACKUP TEs...because that is what they have ALL been because Witten is here. Backup TEs can be found anywhere. Again...not making excuse for Jerry Jones...but that has Jason Garrett written all over it.
Of course JJ will over daft for a shiny new toy, ex cb. In my opinion car has earned his money as that was the going rate for cbs once he sign. I think people expect him to be a lock down cb in which he's not, but last year they threw him on an island. But anyways in my book what done is done. What do think JJ can do to turn the ship on D? Me personally I think they need to bring in another safety such as Major Wright or Robert Lester. Another DL player such as Vickerson could do a lot for our ration and leadership. Sam is on the ps and should be bought up within a few weeks. I think those 3 players would help our D.
