Roy Williams, W.R. If the Lions lose next week, which they will, they go to 0-4. Season pretty much over. As soon as the lions drop that game next week If I were Jerry I'd be on the horn dangling a 1st round pick to Detroit. If the Lions balk I would increase the offer to a 1st and a 5th, no more. Landing Williams would really set us up for the latter part of the season and the playoffs. He's pretty familiar with our offense too having played under Martz in Detroit which used a version of the air coryell/ turner stuff. Think were running the ball well now? Add Williams to the mix and that field will open up like Moses parting the red sea...........;) This would be a huge move Imo that would pay big dividends in every way imaginable for our offense.

....I am on the phone to Matt Millen of the 0-3 Lions and offering him a 2nd rounder for Roy Williams. Yeah, I know Austin had a good game, but we are still one injury to TO away from being in big trouble. I say he owes it to the team to at least inquire about what it would take to get this done prior to the trade deadline.

You make a very good point. If T.O. did get hurt that would throw a huge monkey wrench in our conquest for NFL domination. They had a ruff go of it when he got hurt last year.

If I was Jerry Jones I would not speak to Matt Millon because the last two times we did they wanted DeMarcus Ware as part of a trade package.

A move like that has so many positives. As Ive said it opens up the running game due to the big time threat of the pass that Williams, T.O, and Witten would present. It draws some coverage away from T.o and Witten. It also puts Crayton back in his true role as a third w.r.

it would be nice but I don't see it happening. We're only 3 games in and ANYTHING can happen!

Next week is their bye week so they can't lose. However, it is the perfect time for them to be in the dealing mood.

Name the 2nd time.

One was to trade up for Calvin Johnson. When was the other?

I believe once was this year and once the year before. Could be wrong but I think it was two separate times.

I only bring this up because the more the Lions keep Losing the more keeping Williams around doesnt make any sense. They get a 1st rounder to help restock their team, we get a compliment to T.O who is fairly familiar with our offense. Everybody wins. Trade Demarcus Ware???LMAO! Matt took way too many hits to the head I guess. That 1st and 5th would HAVE TO look awefull good to Detroit after their sitting at 0-4. If they dont take the bait, nuthin we can do about it. IMO we have the talent to win it all RIGHT NOW, But,...nuthin wrong with bolstering that talent.

I thought they wanted Witten at one point during the Calvin Johnson talk.

I really can't see this happening. I certainly wouldn't be unhappy with adding Williams into the recieving core with TO, Crayton, and Austin. I just don't think there is any real shot of this happening.
