Following the onslaught of fat-shaming comments, up-close observers spoke up to deflate the Romo weight debate.

“I just had lunch with him last Tuesday. Tony looks fine,” Cowboys legend Michael Irvin told Yahoo.

Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, who took the shot originally, also vouched for Romo’s conditioning, blaming “poor camera work” and a deceptive angle.

It certainly appears as if Romo is overweight. He is not. It was some poor camera work on my part. As you can see in the photo at the top of the story and the video below, Romo is the same size he was during organized team activities and minicamp.

But this post is too late. The internet already believes Romo has a weight problem.

Oh boy. Fine is always the one you use when its not so great and you just dont want to say it.

Tony just doesnt have the physique. No big deal, it doesnt stop him from tearing up the NFL.

He does look like a cook though more than he looks like an NFL QB.
