Well first off u get gems like this on page 2

"1) Champ Bailey
2) Nnamdi Asomugha
3) Dunta Robinson
4) Nate Clements
5) Dante Hall
6) Asante Samuel
7) Chris McCallister
8) Lito Sheppard
9) Darelle Revis
10) Antonio Cromartie
HM to Pacman Jones who is good enough to be on the list when playing."

He doesnt even know there own cornerbacks name.

followed up by:

"
Nnamdi
Bailey
Hall
Mathis
Cromartie

lol do you think all of us would have hall in the top 5 if he werent a Raider?"

then this

"
Nnamdi & DeAngelo > Champ & Dre

Nnamdi > Champ
DeAngelo > Dre

by this time next year

DeAngelo = Champ
"

Finally page 4 has some wise posters

"t may be a lil bias but here we go:

1: charles woodson (still is the closest we ever got to deion)
2: champ bailey ( so fundamentally sound and cover skills)
3: aso (one of the premier shutdown corners)
4: terrence newman (overall great corner skill without the trash talking)
5: deangelo hall ( good but gets torched by elite receivers)
6: nate clements (pretty good but gets beat by good receivers)

i didn't put ahsanti samuel up there cause i just think he benefited from the patriots running the score up on different teams and they had no choice but to throw to get back into the game which allowed him to be more aggressive on the ball. mcallister is losing a step but still a formablr corner when healthy. and don't underestimate al harris. even though he got used up by plaxico burress, he still is a tough corner to beat off the line. there you have it! discuss that one!"

and then :

"only through the eyes of a raider fan, that the top 2 corners in the league are the raiders. Deangelo hall is all of a sudden a top 2 DB now that he's a raider? 1 month ago he wouldnt have made your top 10."

So? They're excited. This gives them something to be excited about. Hall, for all those who hate on him, is no doubt a top 7-8 corner in the league. I've personally got him about 7. So it's not like they're that far off. It's not like they've got a 20 corner and trying to say he's a top 5.

Geez.

You'll also notice that the majority of the guys on their lists are all from AFC west teams, for the most part. Champ, Cromartie, Hall and Aso. They're picking by who they know, watching only who their team plays, for the most part.

I dont know much about Asomugha. I know he had alot of ints one year but is he really that great? Is it just that teams can throw at the other corner and not have to worry about it. Or just run it down there throat, becuase the raiders are so bad?

I think it's likely a combination of the 3. Aso is a very good coverage corner and so they just aviod throwing his way. Now he should get a few more his way now cause Hall is an upgrade, IMO significantly so, from what they had.

But you can factor in the fact that their run defense was very poor as another reason he didn't get thrown at as much cause teams didn't need to throw his way when they could run the ball the way the raiders gave up running yardage this year.

I think Hall is too. Even if not, he would be very close...so I don't see anything controversial here.

If you think Hall is a top 5 corner you must not have watched him talk a big game only to be beaten by the top wrs on a regular basis.

There was the game he "shutout t.o" when t.o was an eagle, yet Terrell had 10+ catches 120+ yards. Then the time he shaved "I own 85" and gave up 3 tds to chad where he was beaten badly everytime. Then the game he said Steve Smith was an okay reciever and Smith killed him. Then the game where he talked all week about rematching with T.O as a cowboy, and we all know what happened to him then. And then last year the same process happened over and over and over.

He gets a lot of picks, but gets abused regularly. He is all or nothing type guy, who is much more nothing then he is all.

I live in Atlanta, i've seen him play way more then most of you. Most of my freinds are Falcons fans who all say he is overrated.

Again I'm waiting for people to produce this evidence that he gets routinely beaten by every kind of WR out there and, once more, the only people that are actually produced as 'evidence' are Chad Johnson, T.O., and Steve Smith.

So D. Hall gets beat by those three? No? Really? You're kidding me? Seriously? Now, I got one for you, show me one corner who doesn't.

Really good corners are going to get beat by elite recievers most of the time. It's just the way it goes. Not everyone can be shut down like Newman, and he's been beaten before by Randy Moss, and even Champ Bailey gets beat (OMG! By T.O. none the less).

I don't think Hall is top 5, I've said before I've got him at 7, but being the 7th best corner in the league out of 64 starters is pretty darn good.

Hall gets beat by second tier WRs as well. Braveheart, you really have to get out more. Look at other games involving other teams. I have watched hall get toasted so often that he ought to ask for butter and jelly as soon as he puts on his uniform.

Well I don't get to see a lot of Atlanta games which is why I'm asking people to show me this stuff where second teir recievers routinely beat him. I'd like to see the proof of this stuff and then I'll change my mind on him if it's there. But all the times I've asked not one person has been able to provide any proof of him getting torched routinely by anyone not named Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, or T.O.

the fact that he performs so poorly against the best should say something about him if he wants to be the best or considered one of the best he needs to shut his mouth and provide some results because it makes him like foolish.

Braveheart he covered Andre Davis most of the game last year when they played Houston and let Davis have 100+ and a td.

Andre Davis is barely a 2nd tier player.

So then Deion and Green were not considered some of the best, correct? Cause Irvin and Rice routinely beat them to death.

Williams, of Arizona, must not have been very good either since Irvin would beat him pretty routinely as well.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, elite recievers will get the better of good/great/elite corners. Champ Bailey got beaten up by T.O. also.

Ok. I now have someone whose provided me with a basis to look, and I will look at this game, but this is one game. I'm looking for the proof that this routinely happens, as so many suggest.

Some things are obvious to those that bother to look with open eyes.
