He was the first player to the locker room after the game. I supported him the first year he was here. He is not the same RB he was. He honestly looks like a wuss out there with no vision. He has speed, thats it....

I have to believe he is a gonner.

That being said, I would love McFadden BUT... there is no way we should spend both #1 picks to get him. We need both #1's this season and we should be able to get a good RB to compliment MB3 in late round 1 or even round #2... That would be the smart thing to do... Hopefully we do the right thing here....

Bye JJ

I have a feeling he wont suck in his next home. I agree he has to go, but if he gets on a team that likes to run he'll be good.

On the other hand, unless we fix our run blocking, I doubt another speed back will help us.

I'd really like to use those two #1's to improve this pass defense and/or get some speed at the wide reciever position. I think that we can get a pretty good runningback to back up Barber in the second round.

We havea power back in barber.....to compliment him I'd look for a Jerrious Norwood or even Maurice Jones-Drew type guy. Someone who is explosive and can bust through holes for long gains. Pass blocking skills would help though, of course, hence a Mojo type guy suggestion...

Either way, we need to fix our run blocking. There's no way someone as good as Marion Barber should be constantly getting stuffed for 2 yard gains against the Giants (2nd half)

Also, forget McFadden. We need to draft a young, talented, speedy, and smart defensive back, not another running back.
Perhaps even a wide receiver...though I'm living in denial about Crayton/Glenn/T.O./co. not being adequate.

The way Wade was pretty much gushing about Barber, it's obvious that he's our starter next year. All we need is a complimentary back, which we can find cheaply in FA or the draft.

Yvenson Bernard
RB, Oregon State
5'9 210 lbs.

this dude is a good pass blocker and surprisingly good between the tackles. small like jones-drew, will be good on kickoffs as well and can be had in the 3-5th round depending on who falls.

MB3 clearly ran out of gas in the second half- 20 carries a game is max for him.

Julius would put up elite numbers in a zone blocking scheme. If he goes to the right team fans will curse him even more because of the success he could have.

Oh and with the way MBIII ran yesterday, a back-up running back has become a cheap free agent pick-up or a mid-late round pick. The first round will be a WR and a defensive player.

Bingo! We have a winner.

While we had decent pass blocking this season, where the heck is our running game? We have not had an O-line that can run block since I can remember.

Makes me sick.

Barber earned the job. He's going to need help though, and the way I see it at the moment, Dallas only has one running back on this team right now who is on the roster next season. I think Julius and Tyson both leave.

And I really don't think you want Barber handling the ball 25 times a game like fans think. Look at those numbers over the course of the season! The team needs someone who can effectively take 10 carries or so and some more snaps. Whether anyone likes it or not, Julius didn't do much effectively this season.

FTR, I wasnt saying that Barber should get all the carries. I simply meant that JJ wont be spending big money or a high pick on another runningback when our starter is now clearly defined.
