Of these four rushmen, who gets there first?

Jason Hatcher played inside and led the team with 11 sacks one year. Also, Collins is playing Warren Sapp's
position with his old coach. Now, I get it, this is not meant to be the carbon copy of that Tampa defense.
Different team, different time, However, Collins is a centerpiece of this defense. He might lead the team in sacks.

Tapper is intriguing. If we hit lightning in a bottle with him, this could be a very exciting season.
We wait with baited breath.

I'm rooting for Taco. 6-8 sacks as a rookie would be a good season. The Giants LT is awful. Taco may get
one or two in his first game.

Yeah, I can see Collins leading the team in sacks. I just thought Taco might be the first to get a sack considering he plays on the edge and he should get more snaps with Irving suspended.

Yes. I agree. Flowers (Giants LT) often needs help against the big pass rushers.
It will be a good sign if Taco gets one early. After practicing against Tyron, he may
be surprised how easily he can beat Flowers.

For what it's worth, Giants oline is rated 30th in Fantasy Football Index. Not sure of the ranking in PFF but they are similar.
My point is that it may be a big day for our front four in week one.

Trying to remember a time when a team's #1 pick overall was so ho-hum. Frederick, probably, though that was more a lot of complaining about what idiots the front office were for trading down and only netting Terrence Williams and Travis Frederick.

I think people legitimately like the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks better--pretty much universally. And they might like X Woods better too.
2009 - Jason Williams.

There is no question Taco is the least liked pick in the draft.

And I don't blame them, because that's pretty much how I feel about it, too. It would be great, though, if they did actually know what they were doing and we got a player there where nobody expected it.

That's where I'm at.

It's no secret that I preferred TJ Watt at that pick, so my current position is wait and see, hoping the team was right and I was wrong.

But of course I hope Charlton becomes this team's Jason Pierre-Paul type of pass rushing force.

I'll go with Damontre Moore, if for no other reason than to pull for someone new for the Cowboys to create a productive pass rush.

Early returns have been very good on Moore. I think he's gone from long shot reclamation project to a viable candidate to help the pass rush. Indications are that he's matured some and is starting to "get it" and realize the opportunity before him. He has the talent and ability and if he can put it all together, he and the Cowboys should benefit.

I thought that was going to be the pick. When I heard the logic behind drafting Taco (Cowboys wanted a bigger true 4-3 guy) I was surprised Watt was on their radar. Unless they thought Taco would already be gone.

I think that there was some internal debate on those two players. From what I've read and heard, Marinelli and Garrett preferred Taco and they "won". Now we all hope they were right.

I totally agree. He's been putting on a show in OTAs and the minicamp. Every now and then, the light comes on for certain players to figure things out and blossom into somebody who can be productive. He's never been devoid of talent and is capable of helping us.

I'm hoping for exactly that to be the case with Damontre. He's a known talent who simply hasn't been able to control himself sufficiently to stick around with past teams. Every now and then people can grow up. Here's hoping he's turned that corner.
