Lol. Below are the NFL teams that have allowed more than 29 ppg over the past 10 years, along with their final W-L records. 14 teams.

Facts:
- Only 7 defenses have allowed more than 30ppg in that period
- NO team allowing more than 30ppg won more games than the 2025 Dallas Cowboys.
- ONE team allowing more than 29ppg won more games than the 2025 Dallas Cowboys (Raiders with 8 in 2020).

It was a shame that we wasted an overall very good offensive year. Horrific defensive performance tanked a season that could of made the playoffs.

The offense wasn't without it's warts, especially in the 2nd half of some key games, but overall they did enough to do better than 7 wins. The fact Matt E isn't canned today shows how mentally challenged ownership is when it comes to personnel.

We can't can the GM, unfortunately, so just got to hope the next coach isn't somehow worse.

The Cowboys are among the top spenders on the offensive side of the football, and with pending extensions for Pickens and Williams they could move up even higher on the list.

I know we want to prop up the offense and just bash the defensive players, but we have an overall roster building issue and no matter what the numbers look like its still a team game. Jerry has essentially went over his budget to buy a new lamborghini, but refused to pay for the regular maintenance and premium fuel.

The defense still should have been better than it was, but per Spotrac we had just 23% of our cap space dedicated to defensive players this year? Obviously you can get away with that as Philly is right there with us, but they've also dedicated their last 5 1st round picks to the defensive side of the football. The Cowboys are spending like crazy on offense and have used 3 of their last 4 1st rounders on offensive linemen. You can't keep dumping all your premium assets into one side of the football and wonder why the other isnt very good.

As good as the offense was, they left a lot of points on the field and off the scoreboard. Had the offense been better in the redzone we might have a won a couple of extra games even with the atrocious defense

I expect more out of the offense with the amount of resources we have pumped into it.

You hit the nail on the head man. One of the worst defenses ever and there are people here saying Dak needed to do better. There is a point that people cross over being able to actually analyze a player and look at things objectively and then there is hatred and obsession. Many of the people on this forum have crossed that bridge and have a very personal dislike of this dude and quite frankly its pathetic.

Excellent point, and therein lies the double-edged sword.

Jerry is dumping all the cash and capital into the offense to prop Dak up and make him look good, and sell jerseys.

You take that away and give it to the defense, then the complaint from the Stans becomes "Dak doesn't have enough weapons around him to run a high powered offense"

any way you cut it, It's not Dak's fault in any way, shape, form.
He's awesome, everyone else is living in his shadow. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I agree. The offense needed to step up in the Arizona and Carolina game. Beat the Giants and now you are talking 10 wins. Maybe playoffs. The notion that this was some special offense is absurd.

Lol ok.

We still continue to miss the point here. Offense should have won more games. Defense was historically horrible.

The constant in this is the wild inconsistency that continues to plague this team. It doesn't matter how bad the defense is. Doesn't matter how good the offense is. This team will continue to be inconsistent. One day it will completely destroy a bad team. One day it will beat a team they were expected to lose to. The next, they'll let a bad team hang close and either win or lose by a thread. and on and on.

Inconsistency has plagued this team for years. Doesn't matter who the coach is. Doesn't matter who the QB is.

Reach your own conclusions as to why...
