Offense just needs a few tweaks this offseason, if 2 return!

In today's game, you name multiple #1 receivers. I like Flournoy, but he would be ideal as the team's #3 receiver and would serve as an upgrade over Tolbert. However, I don't think he is a high-end #2 receiver in this league. Pickens/Lamb are a good combo as they have a different skill set. Teams have to respect both of them, which opens up the rest of the offense.
IDC, That's your opinion, and whether that's true or not, does not change what I'm saying,

they don't all have two receivers making 75-80M combined..

jefferson is making $40 million but the two WRs below him a really pretty good receivers, I like them how much do they make oh don't answer they're on rookie deals...

And even though we've seen it get close to that, T Higgins is clearly the number two, he makes number two money, and if George Pickens doesn't like that ,he has a choice in this, he can hold up the franchise tag by holding out, not signing it, he can be a total, I don't know let's use the word Parsons as a verb, on what he did in the offseason, we don't want that again, we don't want an unhappy person here playing under the tag,

Sorry I don't think he's gonna settle for 30..

I would not pay the guy a dime over thirty.

But I said Flournoy and let me be clear, would be the number two going in to training camp. He did not say he be the number two coming out, because we will be using those assets, we get from trading George Pickens for multiple players, but one would be a higher round one through 3, Number two of the future,

that's what you need....

need more proof ,we literally just went through two games with those guys when we really needed it they didn't score enough touchdowns when they were in the red zone, there wasn't enough big plays, chunk plays, There were no impact plays ,coming from George Pickens, nobody really, lamb has been the only one through this two game stretch with Aubrey and Prescott that actually did anything right, except honorable mention,

that's right number 19...

IN My opinion ,he might be ready right now to be the next Miles Austin he could be the number 2 and be a really good one, but you don't know that, show me where he's got all those targets.

That is just another perspective ,

I'm giving you one that might be the reality George wants more money more playing time he's not going to want to play under the tag you get a 1st round tender for the guy you turn that into another receiver and then you go into training camp and let them battle it out..

I don't care if you think it's going to be a slight downgrade,

this team needs the money they need to drop picks and it's a reality that might happen so sell it and I'm going to use the famous words of Rico Buckle up because I can see it happening right now it's 50-50 but I'm leaning at 60-40 george will not be a cowboy next year..

i'm also going to say right now that it might be a positive for this team.... One never knows until you actually see it ,I mean Lamb had his very best year in 2023 without any help pulling coverages ,he can do it ,but he can do it if we go ahead and give him something in the draft and get 19 ready and see how he does...

I'm not saying I don't want George here,

but I'm talking about the true condition where our team's at right now and they can use more draft picks and more money And there's some pretty good wide receivers coming out in this draft and you can get one of them on a rookie deal it'd be a lot closer to what it looks like over there in Minnesota you have one highly paid guy and then you have some lower paid guys that also can produce I call that a number two on a rookie contract but he's the number one in the making just like Lamb was sitting behind Cooper and Gallup and he eventually got paid and now he's the number one...

this is a proces,s you don't always have guarantees that overpaying for two receivers is going to get you anything because, I have proof right now we are sub 500 team, that couldn't get in the red zone enough,

i'm not blaming the offense I'm just telling you the truth, too many field goals ,then you missed field goals, george Pickens did not help this team save their year like we were hoping in the Lions game, and then for sure he should have did something in the Vikings game, and they found a way to defend our offense to a point ,where they force us to kick field goals...

Guyton is the best OT we have. He's a strong run blocker, and when he's started thisHe

They are both still developing, I hope. I'm just of the opinion that he is NOT a quality swing tackle right now. From what I've seen, he is a huge liability, which is not to say he won't be a quality swing tackle in the future. Right now, his stats indicate he's even worse than Steele.
That's the key though developing is OK You have three young players or a young adjacent players with this coaching staff I thought we trusted Adams and Riley to get this offensive line going... Why not give them another offseason but have a plan by getting your swing tackle like we have with guys like Peters or others that have been pretty good as your insurance plan you don't have to break the bank as a free agent offensive tackle used as a swing tackle but that can start if needed i'm sure that's out there that would be my plan but I would trust these coaches to get Thomas enough development in another camp with a lot more reps and also Gaytan Steel they might be moving on from him anyway Just to save money.

Steele is probably our one of our best run blockers but his deficiencies in the past game might get him cut But him next to Booker that side is where they've been going more to I bet I haven't seen the statistics but just memory serves me right at the goal line inside the 5 and short yardage they've been running more between Booker and Steel than anywhere else on the line.

Steele was far worse in his 1st year of action, but he did drastically improve. Keep in mind, this was basically his rookie season. Also, look around the league, many teams have issues with their backup lineman.
Yeah but he he is a really good run blocker we get that they've been running more to that side with Booker and Steel and short yardage and goal line the problem is he's such a liability in the past game how could you keep him at the same pay scale they need to work something out with him and tell him he's going to be a June 1st cut or take a pay cut and stay with the team.

If you cut steel I would get a swing tackle a free agent offensive tackle that's good but doesn't break the bank that can in emergency situations start but continue develop thomas and Guyton trust that Adams and Riley can get that done I wouldn't be spending a lot on the tackles even though I realize it's an important position we have too many holes on defense we gotta already think about are we gonna be able to keep Williams and Pickens we have to sacrifice somewhere everybody always wants top talent at every position and it's not possible..

I like what you are saying except for Javonte not being special.. he is going to be a 13 or 1400 yard rusher this season, on his own terms,... We have not has a slew of those in recent memory. Even pollard barely got over 1000 most years and he could not do up the middle all that well most of the time. He was a break for a lot player not a consistent gainer.

Javonte can carry Defensive players with him at times to get extra yards... I think that is special imo.

Oh and what do you think about CB? We might need one or no?
You can call Javonte good, maybe very good but not special.

Defenses are not scared of him.

He gets what is available and sometimes powers forward for a few extra.

Summary: Re-sign him at the right price but don't overpay.

Retaining Pickens/Javonte Williams is the offense priority this offseason. You want to keep continuity and build upon this season's success. Some tweaks are needed:

-Must figure out the Tackle position. Guyton is always hurt and Steele is a major liability in pass protection. Thomas has taken that next step in his development, from end of the roster to a serviceable swing tackle with upside. They always have the option of moving Tyler Smith to tackle, but the interior is their strength.

-#2 Running back-Blue has been a major bust, where he was a healthy scratch for the majority of the season. Must add competition to the spot. Adding a change of pace, speedy type would be ideal. Would you bring back Pollard if released on the cheap?

-Depth at TE-Span Ford has developed into a good blocking TE, but Schoon just hasn't taken that next step being a former 2nd rd selection. If there is a good TE on day 3, good idea to upgrade the position.

-Future Franchise QB-it is time to start throwing darts at the board looking for Dak's eventual replacement.
Yes, we have the 4th most points in football at 29 points per game and we need TJ fix the offense.

CB might be one of their 1st round picks.

Teams need 3 starting CBs in the modern era.

I do think that Revel will be very good next year.

- I study the game footage and he has been

We threw darts at Trance and Back Flip Bazooka Joe.
