The Giants Oline is a big weakness, and will really help the Cowboys' defense look good in the opening game. With Dallas actually having a good DT rotation and Sean Lee, they will shut down their running game. It's going to be a pass happy game for Manning, especially if Dallas' offense gets off to a hot start. That's going to lead to the usual Eli interceptions.

Also can't discount how the two teams look in preseason. Dallas has looked focused and sharp, while New York has looked the exact opposite. I'm not saying that means the Giants will have a bad season, but we saw in 2014 how a sloppy preseason can carry over into the start of the season. Dallas looked terrible week 1 against the 49ers, and didn't look that great against an overmatched Titans in week 2.
Hard to get sacks when he's playing snap and throw. Also pass happy Eli or not we can't hang our hat on this group taking the ball away quite yet. giant weakness or not this will be same old Cowboys giants with a dramatic finish. That being said. I agree with you. We should stomp then. Handily. But I find myself saying this about them every year and it's the same finish.

The Cowboys defense actually played pretty well against the Giants last year. What killed us were turnovers and special teams play in those games. If Dallas can turn those around, then I don't see the Giants keeping up. You can just tell Romo and Dez want a "were backkkkkk" moment to open the season.

Maybe the Bong video scared them off? It probably did for several teams and contributed to his drop.

That bong picture was the only reason they had a shot at him. Dumb move for passing, but I'm glad they did. Apple looks like a mediocre CB.

Snap and Throw falls right into our defensive scheme early.
Get interior pressure to move Eli out of the pocket, preferably away from Beckham, and make them one dimensional in their passing game.
24 -10 Dallas at half time, they wont be able to keep up, as most teams we face wont.

Mcadoo has Eli getting rid of the ball really quickly in his offense...the line is definitely an issue, specifically the right side...but our coverage is going to have to be tight bc there won't be many sacks...Eli typically plays well vs us as well..it's going to be a tough game
We've done a good job slowing them down the last two years. Would like to get more physical at the line with those small WRs of theirs. We already know that Cruz and especially Odell don't like contact. Not sure on Sheppard... yet.

Yes, but for some reason, we couldn't get a pass rush against them in the 2nd game. Did they step it up, or were we that bad. I think they stepped it up. That needs to change this year.

The held us all game and the refs only pulled flags on call against us.

we have just as good of chance of losing that first game to the giants as we do winning it 50/50 either way

Doesn't matter. We will get zero sacks and they will rush for 150 yards against us.

Bingo. I hear this EVERY year about NY and they seem to do just fine vs. our pedestrian Dline. That's the thing: I don't believe our Dline can dominate anyone. Not in the first 4 weeks anyway.

NY was crazy for taking Apple over Tunsil

They really wanted Jack Conklin and were thrown for a loop when the Titans traded up ahead of them. At that point they still could have had Tunsil or even Taylor Decker. It's possible they screwed it up with Apple, but he can be a good corner.

I remember last year they had of quick 3 step drops in that first game. Got the ball out in about 3 seconds, buy game manager city.

I breathed a sigh of relief when they took Apple considering what was still on the board.
