Well, I daresay our O-Line has finally come together as compared to recent years. Romo had adequate time to scan the field and step into his throws and felt very little pressure. I don't know how much of this had to do with the Giants losing Osi early, but Strahan was still in there and he's no slouch. Despite a handful of bonehead false start/holding penalties, I would say the O-Line played beyond exceptional. The only question mark for me is our ability to open up running lanes, but I don't know if this falls more on JuJo's shoulders or the line's. We will find out next week against a much stouter defense.
Of course, a lot of this may be a reflection of Romo's improved pocket presence. He seems to have a greater sense of awareness in the pocket and steps into his throws. Also, he isn't as jittery and makes better decisions. The one time he was sacked last night he made a great decision by holding onto the football and not trying to sling it out, which he stopped himself from doing and is something he would have done last year. He made one bad decision last night by not getting rid of the ball early which led to his one INT. Yes, he still has problems throwing the ball downfield outside the hashmarks, but I'm hoping this will improve in time.
Thoughts?
