Lincoln Riley is truly the young energetic, offensive genius coach that we need here in Dallas. As we heard today, Dak isn't goin anywhere for a long time. WTBS, we need a coach who is smart enough to save Daks career with the Air Raid Philosophy, and bring a respectable team who will score some points back to Dallas. keep Richard around to continue the good that's going on in the defensive world, but that's about it. Let Riley do what he does with his staff and his offensive magic. Lincoln Riley would surely MDCFGA!!!!

If i would be Jerry i would go after:

HC Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma)
OC Dana Holgorsen (West Virginia)
DC Don Brown (Michigan)

But those would demand actual control about the Team which Jerry would never let happen

From another thread on the subject:
If we want to talk about the getting Lincoln Riley in here there’s things going for you and against you. Going for you is LR may be emotionally swayed by growing up in Muleshoe and now having the chance to run the Cowboys. Also, Jerry will be as likely as any owner to give him a Gruden-like contract to take the job. LR is also losing a Heisman-level QB and likely has a big drop in talent at the position for next year. Reasons against: working in a dysfunctional system for Jerry, having plenty of other options including keeping your current job, not having a defined role in who gets to be on your team, and dealing with an unknown dynamic once Jerry steps away.

As a Sooner I hope LR stays far from this mess but if the money is big enough he may just have to bite. But I will admit I think LR might be more comfortable coaching professional men as opposed to immature college kids.

I'm not even kidding or trying to troll. I really see Garrett as hc the next 5-6 years as well as dak as the qb.

The crireria for hiring a new HC should not be if he is Dak friendly. I want the best HC available period.

Extending Dak will limit the potential HC candidates. Its bad enough that the newcomer will not have a 1st round pick, but to be saddled with an unsuitable QB for the foreseeable future will be toi much for the sought after candidates who will be interviewed by multiple teams.

Only if he agrees to bring Murray along as well

Did I mention I talked with Coach Switzer this past Saturday? Oh, Coach Stoops as well!

Come on now. Why would he leave a great football program to coach this train wreck?
I don't know what his salary is compared to what he could get here but Jerry would basically have to hand me a blank check to take the job.

It has to happen if the Cowboys want to be sure Dak is not the answer. I already believe he's not, but bring in a young Offensive minded coach and see what happens. If Dak improves under this new system, you keep him. If he doesn't, I'm sure we'll have a high 1st rounder in the following year and let the new coach pick his guy.

many HC inherit a so so QB that they have to use , and maybe a bad cap situation, and draft pick situation .
