It's funny how we are all making fun of how people would post these "The sky is falling threads" just a day ago.

And of course this year, like every year, it always happens.

Longwell is a major blow, if you guys wanna down play that, thats ur choice. He's a solid guy that didn't want to break the bank. Isn't that what we've heard all along? Jerry isn't going to spend big money on a kicker.....

Kicking was a problem last year, as we all know.

Longwell signing with the Vikes is a big deal.

I agree seeing Longwell signed was a bit of a bummer. But nothing we can do about it now except dish out a little money for Adam. Better than having Shuishman and Cundiff back there

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Just like last year during the season. So many people "its just one loss" and all that blah blah blah nonsense.

The sky has been falling since 1995, and when the sky is not falling that will be big news for me.

So we spend 1 million or maybe 1.5 million more for a kicker then we would have otherwise- so what? Considering how many games we lost this year where a top kicker might have won- where else would so little money make such a big difference?

The only thing that disappoints me thus far is Longwell.

Other than that, it's the first day of free agency. Sheesh.

I agree. Kicker was the only position that I felt Dallas really had to be aggressive at because of the low availability of good kickers. I thought we would have locked up someone on day one, but I guess we just got caught sleeping at the wheel. Luckily the two best kickers are still available, but they may come at a higher price than what we initially wanted spend. But now that we have more cap space, I wouldn't mind pushing hard for Vinitieri(sp) because I definitely do not want to go another season with Suisham/Cundiff/Cortez.
