I would definitely say speed is more now then ten years ago.

I could be wrong, but I think this was a procedural thing........... they had to add him to the 53 for one day before they could IR him designated for return.

6 is what they normally keep year in and year out. 5 would be out of the ordinary and light.

Anything more than 5 WRs is dumb unless you have a rare and special guy you just can't cut. Wilson is not a rare and special guy. Rare and special guys make that TD catch that he dropped last game, yes it was a mediocre throw but Wilson has to catch that.

I like Smith but I would not have cut Wilson for him. They have a few guys they are hoping is going to get through waivers - Olumba, Wilson, Wise - that could get plucked.

5 WR is standard across the league. No point in keeping 6 when you'd only ever dress 4 or 5 anyway

I am just confused where these roster spots are going............. they went light at CB, RB and WR. They cut Wise so that means they likely are only keeping 10 DL at most unless there is a surprise like Jelks. Are they carrying 7 LBs or something?

Wilson is a JAG. There will be better receivers on the waiver wire than him.

Jelks was a draft pick and he's pretty good, too. He really shut down the edges and run game in the Houston game.
