Cool. Get some more experience for the young guys.

And it's the Cowboys, of course. :)

Starting camp a week earlier would help if they didn't have to take at least 3 days to travel and play the game while other teams are still in camp not playing that extra game.

I think the 5th game is a waste and prefer Dallas not play it.

HOF game you likely will not see any starters play much at all it is about getting backups and young players game reps that are very much needed. Teams can control how much of a load they put on Vets. Cowboys need the work glad they are getting it.

I don't see this as throwing a bone. Cowboys wanted it they got it and frankly it is needed.

I know the Cowboys wanted it. but there are a lot of things the Cowboys have wanted and not wanted since Goodell was hired.and they have got nothing.Mara and Goodell punked Jerry. and he stood there and took it. now they throw his this bone, and everyone is acting like it's a big deal. it's a bone to Jerry.

Let it go. This Cowboys wanted the game Goodell is not doing anything.

Sorry but this victim act is old.

The HOF game? Jerry will dig the #Cowboys exposure. Coaches are digging an extra week of camp.

I'm sure the coaches will. I know Pre season does not mean a lot to fans we all get tired of it quickly but for the coaches this is a chance to get the work in that they feel their team needs. With a new defense being put in place and all the work this team needs to get done this is a welcome sight in my opinion

I will let iit go when Mara and Goodell stop screwing us. and when we have an owner who will stand up and fight for his team. instead of not fighting the NFL because he wants to make more money by getting another Super Bowl.

The reason has more to do with even if we win the battle the NFL then is opened up to a law suite by the NFLPA for collusion and we lose the war.

Commanders refuse to join in with the NFLPA on this and still have not determined if they will pursue this knowing full well the can of worms it will open up. Believe it of not Jerry is a lot smarter than people want to give him credit for. Claiming he needs to fight for his team in a matter of speaking he is and for the NFL itself.

It will be funny when DC gets awarded a Superbowl.

That might be hard since they are an open roof stadium up north. Notice all the cities who have gotten SB where winter weather can be bad are all covered stadiums.

New York is hosting one this year with an open stadium. Philly is already preparing to make a strong push to host one in the near future. Per Goodell, because the Superbowl Circus keeps getting bigger and better the city infrastructure, mass transit, available luxory hotel rooms is becoming more and more of a necessity. Especially when the old stand by stadiums ca no longer handle halftime shows without a power outage.

They better hope for good weather. It is normally a week or 2 long event for many going to the game no one wants to deal with crap for weather this is why Miami and New Orleans tend to get the vast majority of them. It is not just the game

I would hate to see the Superbowl played in bad weather because I want to see the Champion decided on as equal a playing field as possible, but I imagine if a game were played in the snow the vast general viewing public and mainstream sports media would go on and on about the novelty of it and make nostaglic comparisons to classic cold weather games. As long as it didn't happen routinely in successive years and water down the novelty, which means the NFL will probably just intersperse one in every few years.

Like you I want the teams to determine outcome not weather. I don't see anything nostalgic about it when you consider most SB have not had to deal with bad weather.

It was the reason the owners and Pete Rozell put the SB in cities where weather would not likely be a factor.
