This is what happens when billionaires rule the world. Jerry hired him because he was comfortable with him; he has loyalty to the Garrett family and he reminds him of the good ole days in the 90s. Garrett flat out sucked as an OC; outside of catching lightning in a bottle for 5 games after fat arse Wade was sent packing, he has sucked as a head coach even worse.

Jerry is just a fan playing GM. This mess is a result of that.
 
On 2nd and 1 Romo's pass to Witten is too far out in front of him for the first down.

On 3rd and 1 Romo calls kill kill kill to check into a pass play that goes incomplete.

And we know how 4th and 1 turns out.

You can blame Garrett for allowing the check with me plays but don't blame the playcaller because you really have no idea. Romo clearly audibled out of the third down call and you blame Garrett for giving Romo that freedom but at the same time you handcuffs Romo's abilities.

Yeah, yeah, believe me I get it. The Oline sucks. The receiver ran the wrong route. He had narcotics in his system. His coach put him in a bad situation. The DB just made a great play. There is too much on his plate.
 
i'm tired of hearing jason garrett blow sunshine after another gut-wrenching loss, talking about "all the positives" and "the things that we can build on". i think we can all see through that.

that "getting better every day" stuff sounds good... in the offseason. but the fact is that this team is NOT getting better every day. a 16-15 record speaks for itself.

i'm ready to see this team adopt the fiery attitude that rob ryan has brought to the defense.

anyone else good with that?
 
Gimme an emotional coach. I'm for RR being HC, I'm so fed up with Garrett it's unreal.

The Romo excuses are already in for that possibility. Garrett gives him too much responsibility so it's not Romo's fault.

The excuse makers for #9 know no bounds.
 
I would love RR as our head coach.

Not ready to dump Garret yet though, so i have mixed feelings.
 
As an interim, I am ready and find a new HC at seasons end. But want Ryan to stay as DC.
 
People automatically write off Rob Ryan because of Rex Ryan failing as a Jets coach but I dunno, maybe Rob is better suited to be a head coach. Rex came up as an assistant with the Ravens for 10 years. Rob has been around the league, with a bunch of teams...he has a broader perspective on different locker rooms, cultures, etc.

I dunno, maybe Rob would make a better HC than DC

When Garrett gets fired, you gotta tear it down. Every coach on this staff needs to be fired and most of the players should be gone. If not, we're going to be having this discussion again in 2 or 3 years.
 
Why? What would it accomplish? The team would get a kick start that likely won't comtinue and given our next few games it won't make a huge difference in our W/L total.

I would just ride this out and evalute the entire picture this offseason. I'd love Cowher or Gruden, but they may not be interested. And I'm not entirely convinced that going with another rookie coach will just be more of the status quo and maybe worse considering I like the staff we have around Garrett.

Totally agree, just told my best bud on the phone (who is a Giants fan) that Jerry should shake things up and give Garrett the pink slip and let Rob inherit the head coaches spot. Now, he could either keep the DC duties or promote from within and move Henderson to DC and promote Callahan to OC and oh yeah, I said get rid of Romo too and go with Orton and play the ol' conservative "close to the vest" field position style football kinda like 'Frisco and try to win it with our defense. Heck, based on today's performance , the D really looks to be something to build towards the futrure.

This. Jerry won't do it though. I'm now convinced that he could care less about winning. If he did he would quit hiring morons as coaches.
