*** Official Fire/Hate Garrett Thread ***

We will never hire an OC because that would mean Garrett admits defeat. And as we know, he is NEVER wrong.

Irrelevant.

If Dez doesn't brace himself in the end zone we win the game.

So to hang this all on playcalling is foolish.

What an awful post, are you serious? Is this satire?

With 1:40 on the clock and 2nd and 1, is it really the time to take 3 shots into the endzone? I'm sorry but even if Ogletree catches the pass, we score and leave the Giants 1:20 needing only a field goal to win. This in my opinion is a coaching mistake and this is not the first time, in fact I think I've lost count. It's getting old, Jason Garrett has to take responsibility, its the difference of him being 16-15 or 23-8 as a head coach. This guy went to an Ivy league school? I know smarter people who went Hudson Valley Community College.

No it's not. That was a fantastic play by Dez and every receiver's first instinct is to brace themselves on a catch like that.

Even if that's true it doesn't change what I said. If he doesn't put his hand out to brace his fall it's a TD and we win the game.

I believe somebody called that play.

So tell me again how playcalling killed us.

You're cherry picking, is what you're doing.

No problem with call on 2nd and 1... Romo totally missed Witten

No problem passing on 4th and 1, but once again Tony panics and gave us no chance by back peddling. Let's not forget being stuffed repeatedly on goal line.

3rd and 1 is when we should have run the ball.

If you're going to fire Garrett, please send Romo packing as well in a trade. With all his greatness at times, he always craps the bed. Anyone who doesn't admit that he gave this one away early and spent the rest of the game climbing out of the hole he dug is delusional.

It would be two steps backward to change QBs...no doubt. We will struggle more than with Romo, but I've had it with his continual teasing stats and consistent losing when it counts.

Attack all you want with his other gaudy stats....we will never win with Romo...he is not a winner...PERIOD.

Offense struggles once they get inside the 30. A lot of blame goes around - the OLine for not being able to run, Romo for not being as accurate at that part of the field, but Garrett has to realize his players' strengths/weaknesses and call plays to adjust.

Defenses know they can sit back in coverage because the field shortens and the Cowboys offense (which kills defenses in the middle of the field) can't run those same type of plays to get Witten and Miles open.

I also think that we are a team that plays close games but ALWAYS comes up short in the end. We always get our hopes up, only to get a heart brake defeat at the end.

I mean Witten gets 167 yards and sets a COWBOYS RECORD with completed catches.
3 Receivers get over 100 yards.

AND WE STILL LOSE THE GAME ????

I mean how many numbers do you have to put up to win a game.
That is a bad bad sign brothers.

Too many turnovers at the end. Sad but true !!!

Yhea, I don't know why we didn't run to get a first down and get a new set of downs. We had the timeouts and plenty of time.

Again, Do you trust Felix to hang onto the ball in that situation?

I'm a little perplexed as to why he has such confidence in the teams ability to run from the 1 yard line to get into the endzone but lacked just as much confidence in the teams ability to pick up 1 yard by running the ball from outside of the redzone.

It absolutely does. If we could run the ball, we would have won the game.

2 things killed us in that regard: 1) Not having Murray 2) Felix Jones has no heart: soft, lazy player who fumbled and cost us the game because we would have been in easy field goal range if he wouldn't have: BOTTOM line IMHO:bang2:

I didn't care for him when he was our OC under Bum's Boy, and I hate him a helluva lot more now. Fire the Gingerkid.

***Copy and paste this to Jerry Jones email if you have it***
And while you're at it, tell Jerry to hire a GM. FFS!

That series when we were 2nd-and-1 where we passed 3 times is enough to fire many HC's..

But I see good things and I am 100% with giving JG time..there will be some agony and pain on the way to reach the team we all look for but need to be patient....

Oh wow. You're telling me if he doesn't do what naturally every receiver in his situation would do we win the game? That's the most ******** argument ever because we shouldn't have been in that miracle situation in the first place because of the 2nd and 1 to 4th down TO monstrosity with three timeouts left that occurred in the red zone before we got the ball back with 51s to play.

If I'm cherry picking, you're just being stupid.

We should have never brought in Big Red, he was more than fine as a Coordinator...

Stopped reading right there.........

But it did not work at the the goal line, for 1 yard.

If you don't then take his *** out and put Dunbar or Tanner in.

That's a coaching problem. Garrett is just stupid.

We have some potential but we are not a good team.

I still honestly believe that a lot of the issues with this team start with the offensive line.

We have personel issues, but this team is also undisciplined and unfocused. If it's not turnovers, it's penalties. If it's not penalties, it's turnovers. Sometimes it's both and never is it neither.

I don't blame Garrett 100% but it's becoming clear he isn't a guy that will overshadow Jerry and that's what we need. Someone who the players know is in charge so when a RB fails a conditioning test, he's gone. When a reciever consistently runs poor routes, he's benched. And when a QB continues to make bad decisions, he knows that he can be replaced as well.

Panicked, when the end was coming right at him? he's first in shotgun, the pocket collapses, so he moves to the right and then the DE closes off the right side beating Doug Free..

They were giving us the run. A quick draw even a QB sneak picks up the first. But nope, we throw it deep......to Ogletree.....
