*** Official Fire/Hate Garrett Thread ***

With 1:40 on the clock and 2nd and 1, is it really the time to take 3 shots into the endzone? I'm sorry but even if Ogletree catches the pass, we score and leave the Giants 1:20 needing only a field goal to win. This in my opinion is a coaching mistake and this is not the first time, in fact I think I've lost count. It's getting old, Jason Garrett has to take responsibility, its the difference of him being 16-15 or 23-8 as a head coach. This guy went to an Ivy league school? I know smarter people who went Hudson Valley Community College.
Garrett has to give up something. It's time, it's past time. Either just be a head coach or offensive coordinator because he has proven he can't do both. He completely forgets or spaces out in situations like this. With clock management, situational football. I was watching NBC and they diagrammed those 3 plays on 2nd and 1 and pretty much said that the way the Giants d was setup they were willing to give it that 1 yard and the Cowboys didn't take it. It's so frustrating to continue to lose games like this. In this NFL where all these teams are pretty even you can't continue to lose games like this every week.

If you don't then take his *** out and put Dunbar or Tanner in.

That's a coaching problem. Garrett is just stupid.

The owner won't let him do it LOL:lmao2:

Oh wow. You're telling me if he doesn't do what naturally every receiver in his situation would do we win the game? That's the most ******** argument ever because we shouldn't have been in that miracle situation in the first place because of the 2nd and 1 to 4th down TO monstrosity with three timeouts left that occurred in the red zone before we got the ball back with 51s to play.

If I'm cherry picking, you're just being stupid.

No...I'm telling you that the play called led to what should have been a touchdown to win the game. What? If his hand is two inches the other way are we praising the playcalling?

As for the 2nd and 1, Romo goes to the line with a run/pass option. Unless you're privy to information I'm not, you don't know what happened there.

Why did Garrett call for Dez to land an inch out of bounds on that play?!

You're a frustrated fan talking nonsense like you know something. We did not lose this game because of playcalling.

He is far and away the worst coach in the league

Not sure he is the worst, but as far as game management he is in the bottom tier.

Even if that's true it doesn't change what I said. If he doesn't put his hand out to brace his fall it's a TD and we win the game.

I believe somebody called that play.

So tell me again how playcalling killed us.

You're cherry picking, is what you're doing.

In fairness, that was a pretty basic call. Bryant was open because the DB idiotically bit on the double move.

That's like me calling JG a genius play caller because he "designed" the play to get Bryant wide open right before half when it was really just busted coverage.

It was a hail-mary and the CB played horrible getting beat on the double-move.. there was nothing spectacular about the play-calling...

No, it means we won in spite of poor play calling.

2nd and 1 at the Giants 19, three timeouts left. We don't get a yard on three plays. Spin it anyway you want, but Garrett blew that.

Yes, because Dunbar and Tanner are a couple of scary talents.

Exactly, it was just a bad play by the CB to even bite on the double move..

I never said that but you NEED to put guys in and let them play. Rob Ryan can get guys off the street like Sims and they are making PLAYS. He plays ALL his players. He knows how to use them to their strengths and weaknesses. Garrett can't do that.

I see. So route design that leads to DBs biting and getting in poor position in an end of game situation isn't a credit to the offensive designer and the guy calling the plays.

That's rich. What else you got?

Give me a break. The 3rd and 1 call to the end zone was an idiotic call. We had over a minute left and he throws for the end zone? While the giants have 3 TO's and Eli? Really? Yes I know, you think it's a Jerry problem.

i just want to shake the **** out of jason garrett. 30 minutes later i'm still in shocked how stupid he can be at times. 2nd and 1...3rd and 1...no run? are you kidding me? i want to break something.

Ernie Sims was the 9th overall pick in his draft.

Dunbar or Tanner wouldn't be the 9th overall pick in an XFL draft.

Romo was a UDFA.
Ratliff was a 7th round pick. Should i keep going?

The whole point is you HAVE TO PLAY GUYS TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF.

Its not a hard concept to figure out. If you don't trust a guy PUT THE NEXT MAN UP. GET ONE DAMN YARD. It's time to put you on ignore because you just want confrontation off the stupid things you say.

No we're not praising the play calling. We're praising the catch made by Dez and the victory, but we're still blaming Garrett for his horrendous situational play calling.

As for the Romo example, what he does is based on what he's coached to do. So again, it's on the coaching, and hence the play calling.

As for the rest of your post, it's utter rubbish.

No one said we lost the game because of play calling. But we lost the opportunity to win it because of key situational play calling that should never have happened. Get that through your thick skull.

They've seen what they are capable of. That's why Felix is on the field. He's the best we've got right now.

Oh, no. Not ignore. Please.
