*** Official Fire/Hate Garrett Thread ***

We're you here when Wade Phillips was fired?

When Garrett gets fired, you gotta tear it down. Every coach on this staff needs to be fired and most of the players should be gone. If not, we're going to be having this discussion again in 2 or 3 years.

Agreed, but what chance does Jerry Jones have of overseeing a successful rebuild?

Last time we did this, we went 5-11 three straight years before Jones sucked it up and brought Parcells in.

This. Jerry won't do it though. I'm now convinced that he could care less about winning. If he did he would quit hiring morons as coaches.

Like I said, he's just a fan playing GM. He is incapable of sound football judgement. He might stumble into a few positives from time to time, but its like a broken clock that's still right twice a day. Worst thing is that because he is a gazillionaire, he is accountable to nobody. He has a captive market and he knows it. :(

And as GMs.

I don't complain about that. He will never relinquish that so it's moot to talk about. At least he could hire a coaching staff, or HC that knows what the hell they're doing.

Garrett will be the HC next year but I will be very surprised if Jerry doesn't strip OC from him. Either Callahan or Norv is my bet.

If they can't be counted on to get a yard they shouldn't be on the roster.

Unfortunately, it takes more than them. But I know what you are saying.

So what is Reb Ball saying in the post game presser?

We got to stack more good days?

What a loser.....................:lmao2:

Even if that's true it doesn't change what I said. If he doesn't put his hand out to brace his fall it's a TD and we win the game.

I believe somebody called that play.

So tell me again how playcalling killed us.

You're cherry picking, is what you're doing.

It was a hail Mary play call. There was no other choice other than to go to the end zone. Are you really that dense?

I will say this; if we could get Norv here as an OC for the rest of his career (can't see him ever getting another HC job), I'd be thrilled.

He'd basically be our Kevin Gilbride or Jim Johnson (RIP).

how many games is this guy going to cost us?

week after week this thread is made.

3 downs with 1 yard to pick up and not a single run.

fire him. i'd love to hear from these garrett homers on here of how it wasn't his

fault.
You beat me to the punch. Second and one from their 19 and Dumbo Garrett calls three straight shotgun passes. I cannot believe a pop warner coach wouldn't have run for the first on second down!!!!
He is the second coming of Dave Campo.
This experiment is officially over in my mind.

Dave Campo wasn't that bad......

I soured on Garrett long ago. I've come to expect moments like these unfortunately. Don't get me wrong, I would love to be wrong. I badly want us to turn the tide and contend. But I think we'd be better turning the page.

Romo clearly audibled out of the third down call and you blame Garrett for giving Romo that freedom but at the same time you handcuffs Romo's abilities.

Here's my problem with this. Garrett gives Romo one of two plays to run. Romo doesn't pull a random play out of his butt, he "kills" into the 2nd play.

A fade pass - which even the most hardcore Romo homer will tell you is his worst pass - to our #3 WR who has already demonstrated several times in this game alone he is not always on the same page with Romo, is that the best play to put the game on? Is that what we want to hang it all on with a HOF TE on the field who BTW is ripping the Giants secondary a new one all day long?

Romo killed the primary play, and we don't know what he audibled out of, but why is this horrible idea the 2nd option?

romo audibled into that 3rd down play.

He killed the primary play. He was given that as his only other option.

I don't absolve him for it, but its hard to criticize without knowing what he audibled out of. But the fact that that play was 1 of the two options available is on Garrett.

How long do we have to put up with a sloppy disorganized mistake prone offense before we realize that the guy in charge of them is to blame?

as bad as Felix has been I understand with Romo being hot you have to put it in his hands but that's to an extent

you have to at least try and run the ball on at least 1 of those downs

Dungy even pointed out how the Giants completely gave us the run had we taken it. there was no one up the middle. easy first

I'm surprised Romo didn't try to audible

Felix knows now for sure this staff has no trust in him whats so ever

Dungy and Rodney Harrison just called out Garrett on half time SNF. Said penalties and unprepared situationally, all on red.

i miss you wade phillips!!!

This was the weirdest game I've seen in my life

Who knows if that series from 2nd and 1 through 4th and 1 lost us the game or not, and actually, that's not my point.

My point is, it's always something with Garrett. And it's always in crunch time. People aren't mad at that one series of screw ups, we're mad at his entire body of work in close ball games. It's annoying, and it shows that Jerry tried to out smart everyone by making a failure as an OC, a head coach.

He's over his head, let him go to buffalo, followed by Kansas City, and so on until he gets more experience as a coordinator. Then we can talk in about 6 years.
